But seriously, I've bought 2 iPhones, 3 iPads from machines & never had any problem either with the product or their service. I guess yours really exceptional case.

Buy at outlet, found defect, they ask to go to service centre. Go to service centre, they say refer back to outlet. Yes, I do understand how you feel. But I think it was sufficient to get the tribunal involved & perhaps your police report shouldn't have mentioned that you want the bank to block the payment. By now, the payment you made thru your credit card would've been debited to their account already & you are already liable. You can dispute but they got the money already.

My point is, if anyone can just buy anything thru their CC then make a dispute, you think shops will wanna accept CC as a form of payment anymore?
