once you used to the acceleration of the car then would be ok.. press pedal gently will feel better.. even u full press, your car also wont move fast suddenly from stop.. im ok with CVT, used to it.. some people said slow, but if really compare side by side, CVT is really smooth in accelerate, wont have the shift gear delay..

Sure.I know that feeling It took them a month.initially they told me i will get it by end of march but apparently due to GST there were some delay as they were updating the system it seems.The third week..my car arrived at the centre but i could only collect after a week due to delay in jpj registration/geran.

My previous first generation Proton Waja also has the engine knocking sound. Not when it is new, but when it is close to 10 years old. Similarly, driven it for 12 years before selling it.

You must have taken great pains in maintaining your Wira. My family owned a Proton Wira first generation too (both Wira and Waja were bought when they weren't even launched on the road ie. without any test drive). Our Wira was driven for 13-14 years before it made way for the brand new Waja, which was sold 2+ years ago.

So my question is, can i still maintaining the car waranty if I service the car at 1K ++ ? or better I service the car right know before going to hometown. What oil you guys recommend for preve exec ? Please advice as this is my first car

Yes the wira was bought via some picture only by my dad on 94" lol. It was a great car, still comfortable and spacious by today standard, only the NVH level is very poor.

Previously, i used Syn 5k (RM255) 0w30 and now it stop production. Therefore, i changed back to semi syn which last for 5k (in fact 10k+) Syn 800 10W30 (RM119). U can try Syn7k 0w-40 (RM275)

I made an easy access by taking off the power steering fluid reservoir.. Still, abit hard..


Anyway, just a question.. Since i rarely use my car, only done like 3-4K KM for the last 6 months, is it ok if u just dump in the semi synthetic engine oil with service interval of 6 months? I know proton suggest mineral oil for 10K KM interval. Anyone here doing that?
