I thought you changing to LX 58..

There was a time thinking of jumping ship to Marantz AVR, but I still happy with my LX 56 and maybe stay with Pioneer after this. LX58 not in my mind right now because I have something else to consider, a second subwoofer maybe. Who knows right.hehehe..

Upgrading to 6008 won't give you very significant improvement on the sound, and in fact your LX56 has more functions compared to former.

If you want differences, get a power amp.

Yes I knew that, pioneer is not really good in musical department but now I have PM6005 so doesn't need to change to Marantz AVR. been thinking of adding 1 more sub but not in the near future. Power amp can get into the list also, maybe find a used unit.

LX series is great for movies. IMO, Marantz SR lost to LX for movies.
While for music, LX is.... kind of hopeless even if you pair it with great speakers

Agreed. For movies, LX is better...

While for music, stay with stereo amp. It is the only formula that works.

finally i have made hdmi music better than optical in pure direct. one less cable to install. yeah
also do audyssey calibration without front grill. finally the eq result did not boost treble any more.

im planning to give bi wiring a try. all terminal must use same type of cable？

today play with dynamic eq reference offset. it works like eq booster and ive been using the 0db for months, feel like over compensation.

now use 5db plus input trim -1 it back to natural tone when playing average -30db.

Is marantz SR7009 AVR cheaper than denon x5200?

I think I have a problem with the Phono connection on my Marantz 1250. These seems to be a crackling and humming on the right set of speakers. Any ideas on how to eliminate this issue lads?

Recheck all you connection. The crackling may because of loose connection. For humming, try different interconnect, otherwise, proabbaly is your grounding issue, you can try to lift the ground.

Aeq offset -10db, most realistic tone in movie and music ive heard so far!

and volume knob turn closer towards 0db

Nope. I use SPL meter.

SPL meter require more effort to measure several seats
