lil bit question here, out of the big4..
Is Mazars (5th largest acctg firm in Europe. based in France) in Malaysia is still the same environment as Moores rowland?(in terms of working culture, Equipment, Methodologies)or mazars has taken over and introduce their own approach of running the firm.. if the environment, management operations is still as moores rowland..then nothing change except the name only..

1. You can apply online, or email the HR Manager
2. ACCA or Degree (relevant discipline)
3. As normal as an accounting should be. You have peak seasons, and off-peak seasons. If you're expecting a 9am - 5pm job, not suitable then
4. Approx. RM2.3k - RM2.6k +- (depends on which firm etc)

slim.. unless u are good in sports, amazing personality and demonstrate some of the key points which they are looking for.. well overall, poor academics results is going to make ur interview extermely difficult.. getting shortlisted for an interview might be a problem already.

Mazars = MR. smile.gif

They've merged i think between Praxity MR and Mazars.

QUOTE
Internationally, Moores Rowland Indonesia is a member of Praxity, an international alliance of independent accounting firms (www.praxity.com). Praxity is a joint initiative taken by former Moores Rowland International key members and Mazars (www.mazars.com) to better meet market expectations at a critical time and enhance their offer of services. The alliance covers more than 65 countries and combined 2006 turnover of approximately US$ 2.4 billion.

If that's you in the profile pic.. u've stand a better chance..hehe! jk
Jokes aside..

It all depends on how you carry yourself during the interview. Let me tell you that you can have excellent results from Uni and fare pretty badly in the working environment. You need to be adaptable and have the willingness to learn. I've seen a few of my junior colleagues working under me with far better results, but they can't seem to excel well when it comes to grasping the firm's methodology and soft-skills.

In short, a decent result will give you the opportunity to get an interview..while the other part is totally up to you.

P/s: I got in into the Big4 with mostly credits (and some passes). Just try to apply, you'll never know biggrin.gif

Yes. They will still consider.
You've got to know that the Big4 doesn't just do Audit (Assurance).
They have many departments and usually people I know with Non-Accounting
background apply for jobs in the Advisory / Consulting department. But if you
enjoy Auditing, just apply.. these firms have in-firm training for Non-Accounting graduates. biggrin.gif

i called up PWC just now, they mentioned the intakes for March 09 had just passed (yesterday).. the next session will be for June'09 intake.

oh well, too heard from seniors that PWC prefers experience candidate now rather than fresh grads - anyone care to share some POV ?
