QUOTE(ThanatosSwiftfire @ Oct 17 2008, 07:19 PM) Sorry to burst your bubble, no. ACCA graduate isn't ranked higher than a normal grad. It's simple as 'firm doesn't have to pay for ur professional qualification, and u're not bonded to the firm, therefore we can afford to pay u more. It's a set off thing' And my source, btw, is quite credible. (aka HR) What's the point of professional qualifications to the firms, if it simply nothing better than normal grad? It just doesn't justify to pay them more because their professional qualifications if they're not better than normal grad. If they're better, then they ranked higher.

QUOTE(Raymond_ACCA @ Nov 29 2008, 07:15 PM) Hmm, just wondering, anyone here knows roughly how long does KPMG reply to online applications? If they're interested, normally it will be within 2 weeks for every firms. Longer than that, probably you are on KIV list or not shortlisted.

QUOTE(HBK-reloaded @ Dec 17 2008, 10:57 PM) lil bit question here, out of the big4.. Is Mazars (5th largest acctg firm in Europe. based in France) in Malaysia is still the same environment as Moores rowland?(in terms of working culture, Equipment, Methodologies)or mazars has taken over and introduce their own approach of running the firm.. if the environment, management operations is still as moores rowland..then nothing change except the name only.. Mazars = MR. They've merged i think between Praxity MR and Mazars. QUOTE Internationally, Moores Rowland Indonesia is a member of Praxity, an international alliance of independent accounting firms (www.praxity.com). Praxity is a joint initiative taken by former Moores Rowland International key members and Mazars (www.mazars.com) to better meet market expectations at a critical time and enhance their offer of services. The alliance covers more than 65 countries and combined 2006 turnover of approximately US$ 2.4 billion.

QUOTE(verticalforce @ Dec 22 2008, 08:19 AM) Working in the Big 4 is so dull and boring..... interned in one of them last summer and I swear I was counting the seconds till I can get home. I prefer banks (invesment banks) better, much higher pace and pressure. Work will only be interesting, if you're interested with it. Yea, intern with a big 4 quite boring as most of your time would be doing nothing or photostating. Try intern with those smaller firms, you will get lots of exposure. I'm having fun with audit now, can you imagine? This post has been edited by keith_hjinhoh: Dec 22 2008, 09:49 PM
