dun apply kpmg tax - dam stressful

well....kpmg do need audit assistant 2 as there are currently short of aa2 position.

i called up PWC just now, they mentioned the intakes for March 09 had just passed (yesterday).. the next session will be for June'09 intake.

oh well, too heard from seniors that PWC prefers experience candidate now rather than fresh grads - anyone care to share some POV ?

Not sure about EY though, but due to the economic downturn..at least for the Transaction Services dept in PwC, it's kinda like a glut at the moment. Less IPOs or M&As at this juncture. Saw my friends just lepakkin' around just doing research. Go back at 6pm

They do hire fresh grad, but yup.. not very often unless you are indeed exceptional. That's why alot of them hired are not typically Accounting & Finance. I have a few friends from Imperial College, Cornell University and Princeton. Some did Engineering, Law or Economics. And yeah, it helps with the 'ang moh' slang..haha! It also helps if you have a few yrs of audit knowledge, then you transfer.. 

Ok, went for an interview in Deloitte and BDO today. I can see that BDO is aggressively promoting their status as new "big 4". They changed the measuring criteria into "total mkt capitalisation" to be classified as big4. What are u guys opinion on this?

My opinion - Its like Manchester City. Yes, richer(market capitalisation so to say), but still not the big 4? yes, growing as well, just like how they plan to build their squad. But i still dont forsee them being a big 4 in at least next 3 years?

But I would say one plus point is that, they do pay higher for first class degree (well that was what i was told anyway).

Btw, apparently, deloitte doesnt pay extra for ACCA grads. Still remain at RM2450. Any ACCA grads in Deloitte mind sharing whether is this statement true?
