ACCA shld be higher as it's under category of PROFESSIONAL. Degree just a normal degree. Don't be offended. As I know ACCA & CIMA is equal but ACCA more on Finance whereas CIMA more on management and costing.

The interview process is different for each company. Some companies will request you to write an essay (ie. how do you plan to contribute to the organisation in your first year?) while some may not. Sometimes the first interview is not a very technical or academic interview because the interviewer is from HR. Therefore they are looking at your attitude as well as how well you present and articulate yourself. More often than not, HR interviewers will ask very general questions such as "What's your biggest non-academic achievement?" or "Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?" or "Tell me a non-academic scenario where you were in a leadership role".

The best way to prepare for interviews is to search the internet to understand the common questions asked by interviewers. Prepare the answers for these questions in your head and constantly practice answering these questions with a friend or in front of the mirror. These will help you answer more smoothly and makes you look more sure of your answers. Of course you would have to learn more about the organisation as well as the positiion that you are applying for.

EY's Hr dept. yeah i've viewed a couple of them already but somehow, i think it'll be better to enquire those who have experienced big4's interview to get a clearer pic of their interview process.
anyway, thanks lots! nod.gif

come on.. the pay for ACCA and degree is the same.... if ACCA haven't complete, means u don have qualification, hence ur pay is lower...

a completed ACCA pays the same as those accounting degree grad....

then.. if those accounting degree complete the last 5 papers of ACCA, then this will increase the pay as well which means it is higher... (please do note that not all accounting degree are exempted 9 papers of ACCA. for further info, refer to ACCA website).

unless during the completion of ACCA fundamental stage, u opted for OBU, and got a degree.

Rubbish.

You could get a masters and your pay would still be the same for fresh grads as a degree holder (without honours !!!)

unless you're someone on the dean's list or something if not masters or degree.. it's the same. You may find someone with masters getting more pay.. that's coz their results are good not coz they have the masters.

Yeah welcome to the real world.

I think they will take you if they need ppl. Since you are already a trainee there. and you are going to complete your ACCA. Good luck to you!

firstly, thanks for ur reply.

FYI, i was a trainee at EY last year. However, my main concern is that they might not accept me probably due to adv. dip. holder with less than 3.0 cgpa..

i'm not sure whether i shud give it a try as i heard from my fren that those Big4 would only recruit degree holder.

thanks in advance! thumbup.gif

If i'm not wrong there isn't a test or assessment if you're going for audit. But if you are going for BRS (Internal Audit) then there is an essay to be written.

This is quite a baseless comment. EY will only offer you a permanent position if you have completed your ACCA or if you already hold a degree.

EY Damansara is the Head Office housing the audit, tax and risk management departments. EY Jln. Sultan Ismail houses the Corporate Finance and restructuring departments.

u mean which position is stressful in big 4??? senior level... as ur junior only, there is no need to stress as senior will cover/settle every issue arises from ur engagement. of course, u have to help out with senior with those non critical audit issues.... other major issue, leave it to senior, they will now better....

senior bears more stressful position in audit firm...because he/she need to cover up for juniors, and report to managers, centre person between managers and client...

They revised the salary already. Previously it was RM 2350. RM 100 better than nothing. rclxms.gif
