Just done my 20K service at Penang Service center. Appointment @ 0830am, waited till 0930am only attended by the service agent while my bold seated at the cart park after noon only into service area while after released the black oil, the foreman went for lunch. My bold ended service with car wash @ around 4pm....

my mistake by making few minor complaint hence caused the service time delayed, as claimed by the service agent, if only service, they have another team to do it and shall be completed within 80 minutes else ur service will be free. Conclusion is don't mix up the complaint with regular service, as for complaint, better call / write in to i-care, its will fasten the process a lot

Few problem brought up to them;
1) Engine die during reverse - done adaptation
2) wiper rusting and request for change - rejected while only spray anti rust oil
3) side mirrow touching the body when manual fold - claimed its normal, can't do anything
4) sound when passing by uneven road or bump, suspected 3rd row @ fold - claimed its the nature of the seat @ fold as its freeing...
5) still steering to left - balancing and alignment done

Bro, I got the same problem with item no#1 while reversing on medium slope hill. Before pressing the brake, car moves a bit to front and engine dies, but not on a straight road, shall i make an appointment?

Can you check the condition of your front tires? Are they already worn on one side?
If that were true, you'll need new pair of front tires to rectify the problem.

Yes, u better make appointment to fix it. Usually they will do software adaptation for you, perhaps its fix your issue, but some said need to change OCV valve.

Depending on which service center, I would surely call I-care to lodge report and wait for the service center to contact me for appointment due to previous encounter of delay / waiting during problem fixing on normal appointment with service center.

Hi guys,
Is it possible for Proton to reprogramm the immobiliser (same key + transponder) to different kind of frequency as it originally had?
Does my question make sense or not.?

i was at accessory shop to get coil mat for exora. the guy noticed my exora is new and recommended me to buy air filter for the aircon, he even showed me an empty filter tray which he took from behind the storage drawer. so it is neccessary to get this? why did proton have this tray but no filter given?

Its not empty filter tray lah, its a filter like a net to trap small dust..fine dust can still pass through though. But use the net type filter is rewashable

Im sure the acc shop recommend u the paper type filter..its up to you. Of course the paper type filter better but its not rewashable.

Why your exora doesnt come with coil mat?

oh i see, i didnt really notice that it was net type filter, cos he took it out and it looked like a empty box plastic tray. yeah, he told me to get the paper type. but he was charging me RM80 for it. luckily didnt take cos i saw online around 25-30/piece.

yeah, my executive version mc2 doesnt have coil mat as standard, only the fabric mat type, proton sales persons also didnt give.

Can DIY using RM5 polyester filter net material from DAISO. Taken from their cooker hood filter section.

Better early than late. The thing about aircon blower is that, if you have an ineffective filter, the dust will stick on the fan blades. To clean the fan blades, the aircon needs to be disassembled and new gas needed.

It's a RM20 vs RM200 problem.

hmmm, i'll drop by daiso to see anything useful then.

BTW, do you guys knows that the promo last year end, for the 3 years free services? it is like only 50% free/or better discounted services, some scammy marketing. As I also went for my first 1k service today (the car seldom use, 2 months+ only 700km, but when i called proton care regard the number plate, they said it is 1k or 1st month, but the service booklet showing 1k's month as "-".....). The proton system shows that my free service voucher serial numbers, it is bind to 1k, 10k, 20k, 30k and so on (but the voucher paper does not show these kilometers), and the service center tell me that if using the normal Mach 5 black oil, it is last for 5k, and when i come back at 5k, i will need to pay 100% for the 5k service, if choose the fully synthetic which last 10k, need to top up RM 150+ ....

When i called the dealer about this free service, they also does not know about these....

Yes indeed. Blardy fool... neway, pay a bit for semi/full synthetic oil which can last 10k.

Also another one, your labor service is free only for first 3 service, then hafta pay... scam indeed.
