this is my malayan box turtle. do you guys notice anything suspicous that i should be concerned about?
EDIT: found it in a drain next to my home last month

UPM_Parasite: No leh. Actually all my colleagues come over to my desk to play with Tortue. They say it really helps them to destress and relax. ^^

Tortue is so cute la! He tertidur on the basking rock with one leg stretched out and his head resting on the surface. laugh.gif

btw, i just left eighty-eight aquirium at subang branch. They have:-
2 sulcata hatchling at $480
2 star hatchling at $90
3 juvenile star at $120 to $160
3 juvenile russian at $680

when i was looking at the juvenile star, suddenly heard a sneeze. Then i saw water coming out of the star's nose. It must be sick. Kena RNS

9 hatchling star at $95
2 juvenile pancake not for sale
4 juvenile russian at $680
1 hatchling leopard at $480

Both of them need to eat more protein based food like pellets. I suggest u feed them good pellets like Nutrafin Basix or Ocean Free's Turtle Pellets. Also dont forget to sun them whenever u can ok ? They will recover but it will take some time. I did that to mine last time on my Malayan Box and they are ok now.

hatchling around 6cm and below
juvenile around 6cm to 12cm

Buddy, your Box Turtle is fine but your RES is in pretty bad condition especially the one in the bottom picture. The white colour spots on its carapace is caused by fungus attack. It may never recover as far as i i know as it has already been quite serious. I suggest you separate them immediately.

Water is very important and basking spots are almost a must when in comes to turtles imho. Hope your turtle can cure though.

Uzairi, i got it from a friend so pretty good deal, as he only have one and its wild caught. Paid RM50 for it. Am looking for another one but have never seen any before so far. I've seen Malayan Snail Eaters but not this one.

This is sure a fast moving thread...hebat laa so fast 4 pages d since my last reply. Anyway i thought of going turtle hunting again tomorrow....anyone any suggestion where to get those local asian species? EUjax? Uzairi? Both of you have most asian turtles icon_rolleyes.gif I tend to like turtles more....wonder why...

p/s btw those Common musk turtle is available in Ikano pet world. Saw it just now.Dont know how much, no price tag. And they have some 'big tortoises' as well! Not sure what they are but i think could be the Asian Brown tortoise. Got a few Elongated Tortoise as well. A lot of Star tortoise too but bigger ones not hatchlings....RM200 and aboce i think.
