icon_question.gif So  i wonder what times the best for feeding our fella??  icon_question.gif i always feed them 2 times a day, 8am(before i go to class) and 10pm(after i back from class). it ok??    cool.gif
this pic i get from http://nlbif.eti.uva.nl/bis/ it look so ugly, reli like frog more then like turtle.  sweat.gif
*
Best time is on evening. They are most active at that time. That turtle is a common snapping or a big headed turtle, they looks normal to me tho.

QUOTE(long3016 @ Sep 21 2006, 07:59 AM)
i one day feed once time only coz my tortise always eat n eat. i think too fat already even the leg n head cannot go into shell in the same time. wat i mean is when we touch it's leg, the head sure come out. when we touch the head, the leg come out.

it is too fat?? i need to let my tortise diet??
*
They will always eat non stop actually, so overgrowth is a common problem. They grow faster, die faster also because they gonna get renal failure.

QUOTE(titansulcata @ Sep 21 2006, 08:33 AM)
how come didn't hatch. Tempreture prob ah??

If u can successfully hatch them, it would be a good mileage for your farm plan

$10 for 2 months? No need to call gf ah
*
Most probably temperature problem and unfertilized.

My gf no need to call mah, she's in the same Uni with me, same class same everything. Call her also nothing to talk coz we're doing most of the same thing together. laugh.gif

QUOTE(sayasebuk @ Sep 21 2006, 09:11 AM)
this is the first time i've seen it swimming, and immediately i noticed something peculiar.
whenever it swims, or stays immobile inside the water, its body seems to be slanted(senget) a bit to the right (macam berat sebelah). should this be of concern?
*
I supposed it lacks food, and necessary vitamins and mineral. Try to give him pellets every odd day with vege on even day. Then sun him everytime u can to recover it back.

i don't think they will hate, unless we are not responsible to them... then they might be pist la

my wife at first doesn't like them. Now she is progressing. Today she said she wants to hand feed them. And recently i've noticed her sitting next to them and staring at them. I felt so happy to see her appreciating them..

Its recommended to sun them, if not u can use a basking lamp. Btw, RES dont need it that much compared to tortoise since its a turtle.

ekiddie, it is pretty much a must for RES to have basking spots but not so much for your Razorback. They will not show illness now but sooner or later you will face the problem. Better put a rock or driftwood so they can dry themselves. Cheers.
