QUOTE(EuJax @ Sep 16 2006, 10:08 PM) ekiddie, Nice turtle you got there! What do you call that? Razorback? How big does it get? Well i guess its like what Uzairi said, different bloodline. They are around 3 years old. It is a Razorback no doubt on that. Anyway did you manage to find your Stinkpot? I think they stink on me this morning when i cleaned them Regards Kamekame. |

QUOTE(EuJax @ Sep 17 2006, 01:19 AM) I dont recommend Impressed Tortoise for beginners though Burmese Brown Tortoise is also local species but they get pretty huge and of course Elongate Tortoise as you mentioned...apart from that...cant think of any that is native to Malaysia. Regards QUOTE(uzairi @ Sep 17 2006, 03:53 AM) Elongated, Impressed and Burmese Mountain tortoise is among of them. I forget a few more which is native in asian. Btw, Burmese mountain got 2 subspecies which is Burmese Black and Burmese Brown tortoise. Thank you to both of you...i would not dare to try the Impressa tortoise for sure. Elongate maybe...or some water based turtles...Stinkpot...even Razorback stinks? wow...susah laa ni...afterd my whole room stink! Kamekame. |

QUOTE(dai86 @ Sep 18 2006, 12:17 AM) uzairi, elongated is more expensive than star tortoise now lah. hehe.. so stars is still the cheapest tortoise in market. Dai, ooo.... water basic turtle...i think we got two. one is a razorback if i not mistaken. another one is new one, is something that look like a Three-keeled Musk Turtle (i say it depend on what he told me, that is the turtle shell shape like a 'w' ) i saw the pancakes tortoise at last...eee... it is not as what i thinking before...... huh~~~ so i decided not to add it into my pet list! hehe... now i will stop with my 3 stars, and while waiting for chaco tortoise, i will rare sugar glider! haha... Nice Pancake Kamekame. |

QUOTE(titansulcata @ Sep 26 2006, 08:29 PM) u can use timothy hay... but i don't like to use hay as bedding, cause i think the hay's edge is a bit sharp for em Thanks Titan there are many brands... this is what i have http://mytortoise.multiply.com/photos/photo/5/25 i'm not sure whether it is the best, but this is commonly used and easy to maintain http://mytortoise.multiply.com/photos/photo/5/19 Kamekame. |
