Hi. I just went to the management office this morning to settle my bills.
Can someone help me to understand, when did they start and why are they charging the service charge?

Sorry if i missed out any information on this. But I remembered we have 1 year free maintenance and we already paid in advance the 2nd year maintenance fee. Or is it a different thing?

Service charge = Maintenance charge

It's called a service charge because GP is a Service Suites, or service apartment. Nowadays some other condos also used the term service charge instead of maintenance charge.

Our one year free maintenance is over already. Service charge will start from April 2017, as the VP dated on April 2016 averagely.

Hope this is clear.

The VP date shld be the end of 2015 instead, and we have paid 3 months of maintenance charges in advance upon VP, I totally forgotten about it sorry about that

Therefore, the collection starts on April 2017, which is after the free maintenance period (Dec 2016) + advance payment that we made (Jan - Mar 2017).

OIC. 3 months only ye. Hahah... perasan paid for 1 year.

Hi.. Just wondering did you guys receive a letter from Mah Sing somewhere end of last year stating that they will off set a certain amount of your deposits for Quit rent, assessment, insurance, service fee, sinking funds..etc...

I called Garden Plaza management and they said that the letter was from Mah Sing and hence they are not in charge and got me to call Mah Sing. But Mah Sing said they have no one in charge cos they already hand over to the JMB..? Sigh....

The information that u got from Mahsing is correct.

The collection of service charge by GP management starts on April 2017.

Whereas our free service period by Mahsing is until Dec 2016, the 3 months advance payment that we made during VP has already been used to offset the service charge for Jan - Mar 2017.
