Dear owner, need ur advice. My unit is flooding with shit water and the water keep coming out till flooded outside d. My unit is tenanted and it smells very bad and they cant stay inside. All their stuff got damaged too. Please advice how to get compensation for damage and inconveniece? I am very sad now.

Mah Sing will only repair the defects, no compensation. Pity your tenant their stuff got destroyed too.

You should call to the management office to find out. i just reported washer drainage problem and they arranged people to come within the same day.

But now its closed. Why no compensation? Its their faulty piping.

They repaired and done. I am satisfied and i have no problem with that. This is what they supposed. U think other developer or office will cover u more than that??

But now my tenant cant stay cos its too smelly and stay at hotel. I will have to compensate him? And his stuff is damage and prolly will ask me for compensation. How? Can advice me? What should i do? Btw i will call the management tmr to fix it.

u allow your tenant to stay hotel and claim u ?? u need to get from the office.

Called the hq and told them the management very incompetent. Cos haven fix and want me to bare the cost. I was like wtf. What if next time happen again? Btw, this is second time happen d.

I know an owner that have the same problem as u.

In his case, MS didn't compensate, but the owner warn them if MS didn't clean up his unit and fix the piping before 7pm on the day it happen, he will request all the furniture to changed, so MS clean it up before 7pm the same day. MS tried to give a lot of excuse to not do it on the spot because it was already 5pm, but once the owner warn them they clean up straight away. So his furniture got soak only for 1 hour plus, everything is fine after cleaning.

In ur case, I think u need to push MS harder, threaten to take this to the court if needed. All units are still under defects liability period, if furniture faulty after this u need to ask them to replace all. About the tenant, I think that is between u and ur tenant and most probably MS won't be responsible for that, check ur tenancy agreement.

This is the part i cant digest. How is that ur fault and u need to bear the cost? Its piping and structural defects.

Till now have not clean up. Friday they break the pipe 1 unit below and found alot of cement inside. Lucky my tenant take photos as evidence. Now they cant say tenant throw rubbish d.
