Recently requested to change to 3rd every month instead of 8th for my statement date.

Checked from M2U the statement date is still showing 8th September, but no cut off yet until today

Called CS and knowing that statement date has changed to 3rd of every month and it will reflect on next billing cycle which is 3rd Nov on my M2U

My question is no cut off for this month either 3rd or 8th October ? Is it mean no balance is need to pay until 3rd Nov during statement come out??

So, it doesn't matter which statement date it is, the cash rebate cycle is counted from 1st till the last day of the month?

When we change the statement date, the current month's statement won't be out and will be carried forward to next month's statement date. When I asked the officer that doing my application, she also says the same. But this officer were kinda blur when I want to apply for this card Hope she is wrong on this
This is how I "lost" rm50 on my PBB's VS Because the statement "extended" to 2 months instead of 1 month.

I still think the cash back still stays regardless the statement cycle.
Let's see.

Well, hope so, but PBB's card sure cannot.
Rightfully, I should getting the cash back, but they are using "only rm50 per statement cycle" as the reason to give lesser, so all payment I have to stop for last month and did all the transactions this month. My online purchase has to postpone first
Just hope MBB don't use this as reason also

More likely the officer is blur. Banks are unlikely to do that. Bad for publicity.

luckily pbb vs doesn't have the name like pbb wise vs. otherwise you also will change their name to pbb stupid vs. so, wouldn't it be unfair for hlb? lol, just saying. or perhaps hlb should just maintain their name as hlb plat/gold without the wise word.

Well, by removing the 10X rm50 requirement, state clearly that cash back are not 10% will entitled for a name change

pbb cashback is posted on statement cycle - so if change statement date, risk of losing one month cashback

mbb cashback is based on calendar month, and will be posted by end of each calendar month. so the cashback is not affected by changing the statement date

my own experience

This is due to public bank Cashback is credited based on statement date VS maybank cc is credited on every month 1st day.

y petrol pump charged rm200?received msg after i pumped..

i tot only debit card charge this amount, where as cc will charge exact amount..

nope. every card will charge RM200 when u pump petrol. but once it is posted, it will post the actual transaction amount

hmm..this is new for me..

previous card, ill get sms for exact amount used on pump...

have a few card from diff bank but all shown RM200 in sms
