Why Gold card? They didn't give Plat to you based on your salary?

No use for me, prefer to hold gold.
With my pay, indeed I can get higher end cards, but then my CL already been maintaining low, so no point
I only spend rm1000 sharp, not more, not less, so gold card is ok for me.

Not, not about you can hold what or what not. Isn't Maybank should give cards which match with your salary? In this case, at least a Plat?

If mine is approved later, I will not accept if they give me Gold I think. I hate that colour.

Getting platinum card but want to buy business class tickets also need to call for increase CL, forget about holding such cards
Anyway, 10 years back my CL for gold card was quite high(when less restrictions and intervention from BNM) at rm20000. Got fraud case on that card and about rm8000 involved
That time also I'm holding 7 cards, with this incident, I decided to cut almost all and won't taking high CL for my cards. Even now my PBB's VS I'm applying to reduce the CL to rm10000 from rm100k
Getting the card that fit the purpose now are more important for me. If can, I prefer to have my cards to have only rm5000-8000

You have your preference and I have mine as well.
Learn to respect and not to condemn others. How do you know others will need to call to increase my CL for business class ticket? Or were you referring to me only?

Yup, that's right. Anyway, if we don't spend much, no point to get high CL also.
Not referring to you, my self only. That time because of Qatar Airways doing offer, need to buy 3 return tickets in 1 shot(close to 40% discount and only 20% more expensive than economy class), since the tickets is I buy then claim to get tax free, so I have to increase the CL. Just a phone call and tell them on my pay records and I got it increased for a month.
Now I'm still waiting our country to use pin to verify transactions which will be safer. But then Visa paywave will be more or less useless. Now credit card fraud case numbers are still high.

Pay full of statement balance before due date and you are good to go.

Normally, just normally, once your application has been approved, the statement date will be the exact application submission date... Well at least this is what I've encountered just call CS to clarify
