to me w10 is good enough in terms of user experience. user adoption might be better this time. however, it's still subject to a lot of factors haha

When you check for update, it is named as TH1.

Coming this 29 July. Non-genuine Windows 7/8.1 won't receive free upgrade.

running it now. the watermark is now gone for good.

i did a clean install (vm). it will not get activated. from the error message said ms.server blocked the default key.

I upgraded mine from 10166 to 10240 via WU and then did a clean install, it activated straight away after the install.

ah now i understand. that's supposed to be the correct step to do it lol!

nvm; it's not that you must upgrade straight away. you still have 1 year plus to consider.

i use windows xp
cannot upgrade

you can get a legit w7/8.1 key and do the upgrade later. if you wanna have a legit key with a good price, check out garage sales. if you think they are not good enough and are worried about whether the keys are genuine or not, visit shops and get a retail box. it's really as simple as that.

for w10, if you wanna have control on how windows updates are delivered to you, it's better to grab w7/8.1 pro.

I have Pro 32 & 64 bit versions. But i do not have place to host files bigger than 2GB. But i have the file names that you can search with google and see of anyone hosts these files.

i already downloaded 10162 version but wont activated because blocked no longer

Yes i had errors during install. But managed to get it running. All my hardware are WHQL for WinXP,Vista,7,8 & 8.1 to minimize errors. Which i don't mind anyway since its just for testing purposes.

i had this downloaded just now. i think it's similar to the build 10240 upgrade.

btw there is a windows update i checked just now. some of the files were updated to newer versions now.

Just checked my..no update and my BuildLabEx is 10240.16390.amd64fre.th1_st1.150714-1601.
They said that latest is 10.0.10240.16391

i have the same buildlabex here (10240.16390.amd64fre.th1_st1.150714-1601).

i think just some of the files are of 16391 (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3074665)
