If you have already Win 10 installed (unpack ISO file) ,just run setup.exe.....will upgrade existing
Win 10.

Edit:
I use "Windows 7 USB DVD Download Tool" to copy ISO on pen drive.
Your pen drive must be first boot in BIOS.

Just wondering if I can download the windows 10 ISO when its release on July 29 without installing Win8.1? I got the original key of windows 8.1 but use pirated windows 7 after awhile and now into the insider program.

if you using Microsoft "Windows 7 DVD to USB tool"... it only create MBR version of USB boot stick...
you need to extract the EFI boot file (from the INSTALL.WIM using 7-zip in x:\source; x is your dvd drive)

here is a quick guide...
https://www.thomas-krenn.com/en/wiki/Creati...tick_in_Windows

if you too lazy to read or follow instruction, you can also try RUFUS...

Exactly.

To me, Windows 8/8.1 makes everything easier once you've learn to use it correctly.

hm, the most concern in it is, no such driver support to play your favourite game.
they are not lazy, but the driver is.. who created that driver ???

that's weird. if w7/w8.1 can be installed on your computer with no delays like what you mentioned, there should be no problem with w10tp. (they're actually similar in terms of installation time)

it's even weird when you said you have reformatted the drive but the old os still worked. did you do a dual boot?

When is "just a moment", try to reset pc.
Another way is to try upgrade from Win 7 or 8.1.

I mean...when you have already installed Win 8.1 try UPGRADE to Win 10.

In this case you must unzip ISO file and start setup.exe of Win 10 (in Win 8.1).

Edit:
Seems when you format drive, you lose MBR.
Try to NOT format drive with existing OS.

I'm using the free avira but now since 10162 I always get this 'you have no AV activated' or something. Anyone have this ? When I try to activate windows defender it always says that I have an AV already running.

When I check the task manager I find my Avira is already running but the icon did not come out in the taskbar anymore.

Do I need to upgrade RAM from 4GB to 8GB for Windows 10 64bit?
My desptop is AMD Llano, without external display card.
I just use my computer for document jobs, Photoshop, facebook games and HD movies.

Many thanks
