But does getting a retail W7/8 guarantee you'll get a retail version of Windows 10 ?
*
W7/8 retail key won't be able to activate W10.
W7/8 only eligible to upgrade to W10 (for free within a year of course). So cannot perform clean install W10.
So if we want to perform a clean install, need to install W7/8 first, then only upgrade to W10.
However, the 'within 1 year period of free upgrade' comes at play here.

I've read it somewhere but forgot the link already.
Correct me if I'm wrong. sweat.gif

Thanks.
I'm hoping that title bar and menu bar get some sort of separation or even transparent glass effect or dark theme or same as color accent.
In Build 10130, it's too whitey for me.

These are some of the cosmetic changes in build 10159:

-Tweak in the login screen, which now features a centered design with a circular image. Before, the profile picture was aligned to the left with the box to enter the login credentials to the right.
-Login screen now features the new default Windows 10 "Hero" image.
-If you're upgrading a preview without a custom background image you have previously set, you'll now also see the new Windows 10 "hero" image as the default background on the desktop.
-You can browse the following path "C:\Windows\Web\4K\Wallpaper\Windows" to extract the wallpaper.

MS is getting lazy lol! the ISO files are still old ones, and the key on that page is not compatible with the newer builds.

That's what I thought. Couldn't keep up with their own release? laugh.gif

Edit:Fixed!

Updating to build 10162.

Contana is not available in Malaysia?

Is it possible to change the notification bar to white colour? smile.gif
*
No. You have a lot of color option from accent color but no white.

You can use Cortana, provided you install from En-US iso.
It's available by default. Or if not, you can still change your region to US.

Microsoft suspends Windows Insider builds briefly as it preps for Windows 10 launch.

In the next 24hrs:
-Builds 10162 and 10166 will no longer be offered over Windows Update, and whatever build you're on will show as "up to date" if you check for new builds.
-ISOs for build 10162 will be taken down from the http://insider.windows.com site, and pre-release keys will no longer activate builds.

I guess that might mean RTM really soon?
*
RTM will still be released on 29th to Insiders as Terry said:
"Starting on July 29, we will start rolling out Windows 10 to our Windows Insiders."

For now they want Insiders to update using Windows Update to stress test its release channel.
But fret not, ISOs will still be made available again in the future.

You can wait to see how things go.
But make sure to update within a year from launch date to get the free upgrade.

It's time for update again.
Build 10240 released for Windows Insiders in both Fast and Slow rings.
When you check for update, it is named as TH1.

Still got few kinks here and there.
One thing that bothers me the most, upon turning on my device, the lock screen font for clock, wifi icon, ease of access icon is big. Detailed status and notification icon doesn't comes up.

Once you're logged in and then you lock your device, suddenly all of icon mentioned above becomes small, mail notification comes up and only then Calendar shown on my detailed status.

Another thing is Action Center panel.
Open Action Center. If you watch closely, you'll notice few pixel missing from the black Action Center panel (top left of the panel).

Anyone having this?

I know this is minor issue, but knowing it's there, bugs me. sweat.gif

Yup.
That means Windows 10 is never complete.
Update and features will be pushed out constantly.
Seeing that they will continue the Insider Preview even after Windows 10 launch tells us that much.
