After about 5-6 attempts, I finally got the clean install that I want.

First step is to upgrade from 8.1 to activate 10. Then after that, you can clean install anytime, as many times as you want.

Working smooth, fast .... Didn't bother to dual boot and already removed 2nd SSD.

When u said I should keep my old key, do u mean that I need the old key to call microsoft and reactivate for my next new PC?

no. it's for your record if ms support ask you about it.

Ya, we need the ISO creator to download the installation files... Then , just run the exe file and the installation will start , right ? Why we need rufu ?
*
rufus is another handy tool to create a bootable usb with w10 iso files in this case. if you used the w10 media creation tool to create bootable usb, then you don't need rufus.

Yes, mine was successfully installed....only cant detect the soundcard hardware (which is realtek)....seems like mine is not there although the driver has been properly installed.

Already emailed to ASUS customer service bout this matter, awaiting for their reply...

If no choice, I might hv to revert back to Win7..... sad.gif  sad.gif

From my experience, the upgrade install (even if you select "Keep nothing") can still be a bit buggy, with user profile corruption etc. Best is to completely clean install, booting from the ISO, after the first upgrade.

Skip, and if the upgrade from 7 or 8.1 was activated properly, 10 will be activated automatically.

-.-?
Does your WIN10 still shows the blue colored "Next" as shown by this screenshot posted by nuel92?

If the blue "Next" under 'Windows Edition" is there, this means your WIN10 is NOT ACTIVATED even if the "Windows Activation" section is showing it as activated

Quick question guys...

Q: is there a way to make the virtual desktop switching become "infinite loop"? Let say I'm at no.1 and still want to go left, it will go to the LAST one.
I find it extremely cool to multitask with virtual desktop as it got the sliding animation drool.gif But I still need two macro buttons to do the switching, will be great if can do with just one.

Q: previously in Tech Preview my phone connect fine via USB, but this time with Release, it does recognize my phone (Nexus 4) but it don't have a driver for it... icon_question.gif I now can't do USB file transfer... There was a guide for older Windows say find the "Portable Device > Generic MTP driver" but I can't even find "Portable Device" in the driver selection list... USB Thetering works though...

Do you guys get assigned with generic product key or specific keys after upgrading to Windows 10?

The generic key for Windows 10 Pro would be VK7JG-NPHTM-C97JM-9MPGT-3V66T which is the same key used by Windows Insider Program.

You can check using ProduKey by Nirsoft.
