QUOTE(mudster @ Jun 21 2015, 01:03 AM) Great news everyone running Windows Insider with Windows 10 TP: http://m.winsupersite.com/windows-10/how-t...-windows-10-rtmYour build 10130 and later builds will convert to RTM as long as you are part of the windows insider program. It will also allow you to do a clean install later. Am I entitled to get a seperate RTM key if upgrade from windows 8.1 to Windows 10 preview? Btw, the key in windows 10 preview after upgrade is not my windows 8.1 key right?

Do you guys get assigned with generic product key or specific keys after upgrading to Windows 10? The generic key for Windows 10 Pro would be VK7JG-NPHTM-C97JM-9MPGT-3V66T which is the same key used by Windows Insider Program. You can check using ProduKey by Nirsoft.

QUOTE(llk @ Aug 1 2015, 09:23 AM) I'm using this method How to get Windows 10 Product key getting different product key. Using the vbs script, I was able to get an unique product key too. Edit: oh wait, fellow folks in reddit get the same key as mine, it's not unique QUOTE(AmeiN @ Aug 1 2015, 09:45 AM) read this "Windows 10 handles keys differently. When you upgrade to Windows 10 via Windows Update from Windows 8.1 or Windows 7, the process registers your computers hardware, and qualifying OS with a Microsoft Product Activation Server. The device is then considered a Windows 10 device."http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/insider...2f-4b21fbd807a7I'm asking just to confirm that mine was definitely upgraded from my Windows 8.1 Pro, as I'd joined the Insider Preview, and afraid that somehow my previous Windows 8.1 key doesn't get upgraded.
