Happen to me and decide to follow through all the procedure although a bit busy here and there.

Just sharing the chronology;

14 Aug 2017 - a car bang into rear of car (accident day)
14 Aug 2017 - make a police report
11 Sep 2017 - collect a final police report
            - suppose can collect earlier, the report is complete just still not organize, police still not make call to inform

12 Sep 2017 - send a car to service centre
13 Sep 2017 - need to make a letter why so late sending the car for claim 3rd party
            - suppose to inform my insurance about the accident first, within 14 days

26 Sep 2017 - car repair complete but not satisfied with the job, resend for second repair
29 Sep 2017 - car repair complete
19 Oct 2017 - send all accident document to Etiqa Putrajaya for LOU claim
09 Jan 2018 - follow up through hotline. Not really useful call, the claim is not in system
13 Mac 2018 - follow up through email
14 Mac 2018 - had a respond through call and email.
                    - also replied the email with needed information
15 Mac 2018 - received the LOU claim in the account

Should be quicker to settle all this, but a lack of follow up might be reason for delay.
Its hassle for sure , but a good experience.
My loss of use of 16 days but adjuster just approve claim for 5 days only.
But glad the car repair as good as new.

I have recently made a loss of use claim...

My car was at the workshop (official service center) for 11 days for the repair and spray painting. Damn the adjuster estimated only 4 days needed for the repair.

End up insurance company says RM40 x 4 days.... total only RM160.

Accident 26/01/2019.Third party fault. Keputusan in my favor. Claim on OD-KFK.
Car repaired on 5/03/2018.
Sent for LOU on 9/3/2018.
Approval given on 22/03/2018 by Etiqa

LOU: 7 days x RM40

Thank you so much for the assistance. As advised, I’m waiting for the anniversary of my insurance with Takaful Malaysia which is due in May 2018 to see whether they will pay me the 15% cashback on no claim rebate for a year. I’ve spoken to TM CS, and they verbally informed me that TM won’t be paying me the No Claim Rebate since I’ve made a claim!


Again, since saigetsu has advised me to wait and see until the anniversary date, if TM don’t pay me the rebate, I will try to complain to BNM. Not sure whether BNM will entertain me.

So ive lodged a report and met the srjn and he said while he understood the road and the cndition of that particular place that happens many accident similar before, in the eye of the law i was to be blamed.

I claimed loss of use but 4 months d no news. Shall I contact his company or my insurance company. It's an odkfk

Opposite is liberty. Ok I wait for their reply then. 4 months is a bit too long right. Do they always ignore Los claim

dont wait bro. chase them...  a bit time consuming coz they have to contact your insurance to validate it is true.

if your insurance buat palat, then u lena that palat oso.
