1. Difference is in the clock speed mainly. 1700 comes with cooler.

2. Core count I believe.

3. Yes. Restricted, as in brand compatibility. Ryzen boards have only 4 DIMM slots so you'll need 4x 16 to get 64GB.

Thanks bro for the information smile.gif I do notice there’s a slight chance of 1600s with 8c/16t configuration, is that option worth the bet ?

What RAMs would you suggest to populate in this case ?

It's not slight, it's VERY SUPER DUPER SLIM. biggrin.gif

RAM you have to go by referring to the QVL from board manufacturers.

Some RAM are not in QVL list but will still work.

Your guess is as good as mine but going by past experience - I'd say forget about it.

AMD RX Vega price also like crazy. tongue.gif

But if price really drops then good la but also don't know when, maybe only when Ryzen 2000 series hits the market.

Damn, AMD is really ramping up on the mobile space now.
Just saw their CES announcement, Q2 will have Ryzen Pro Mobile APU??

This year is gonna be exciting for mobile space with Intel APU and Ryzen APU.

AMD drop price but at here nothing happen, here AMD price still higher than it should.

Outside here AMD cut price
ryzen 1600 US219 to US189

ryzen 1500x US189 to US174

while Intel
i5 8400 about US200

B4 drop price, ryzen 1500x compete with i5 8400 for that price range but at here i5 8400 cheaper than ryzen 1500x.
Now with drop price, suppose ryzen 1600 can compete with i5 8400 price already at other place but at here still nothing happen. I think even they reduce price at there, ryzen 1600 will still higher than i5 8400.

Now ringgit strong back a bit dunno the price will cheaper back a bit or not.

Isn't Trident Z Asus Aurasync compatible? You might want to check that, especially if your board supports it.

i heard the new 400 series am4,mobo support better ram compatibility than 300 series am4?,
and i pretty excited about ryzen desktop apu, they going to use infinity fabric instead HSA that old apu use,
now no more problem with overclocking apu(You know then you overclock the CPU/GPU,the APU performance sometimes going to screw up abit and it can decrease performance instead increasing it),Based on this image you get get up to 39% increase performance is you overclock and use higher clock ram(DDR4-3600)

Hi guys,

First time doing OC on Ryzen 5 1600 with my new motherboard, MSI B350m bazooka.
Here are the results, able to get 3.8ghz at everything Auto, can see the voltage at 1.264. Is this voltage too low and unstable?
Temperature after 10minutes AIDA64 is stabilized at 71c.
Cinebench CPU score is 1222 at 3.8ghz
Do you think can go higher wit everything Auto (voltage)?

Thanks!
Attached Image

Update:
Crashed after 5hours+
What may seem wrong? Could it be temperature? Or voltage?
Now trying to set at 1.275v through BIOS, going to run some tests again.
However my HWmonitor keeps showing at 1.3125 only even my BIOS CPU core voltage set to 1.275.. isit because BIOS auto set to 1.3125 after previous crush on 1.264?

How long did you run? What is your cooler and case?
Mine is because I stress everything including gpu, hence they temperature. I think is fine.
Currently on 240mm aio with cooler master masterbox lite 3.1

90c test is not fine. Although actual real life would be lower than that. Try find the sweet spot for long term usage.
