Your guess is as good as mine but going by past experience - I'd say forget about it.

AMD RX Vega price also like crazy. tongue.gif

But if price really drops then good la but also don't know when, maybe only when Ryzen 2000 series hits the market.

AMD drop price but at here nothing happen, here AMD price still higher than it should.

Outside here AMD cut price
ryzen 1600 US219 to US189

ryzen 1500x US189 to US174

while Intel
i5 8400 about US200

B4 drop price, ryzen 1500x compete with i5 8400 for that price range but at here i5 8400 cheaper than ryzen 1500x.
Now with drop price, suppose ryzen 1600 can compete with i5 8400 price already at other place but at here still nothing happen. I think even they reduce price at there, ryzen 1600 will still higher than i5 8400.

Now ringgit strong back a bit dunno the price will cheaper back a bit or not.

Massive performance boost. The IPC (Instructions Per Clock) alone at least 60% more for single thread.

Ignore the 1500X. 1600 price difference isnt big.

so 1600 better than i5 8400?

I think they are at similar performance level ( Ryzen should be faster in workload ) but i5 much expensive.

I check at idealtech

AMD more expensive than Intel one.

Actually more like, are your DDR4 ram capable ( or stable enough ) of OC to 2666, almost all mobo can support quite high frequency RAM.
*
For RAM, if now I buy/build a new PC, I want 16GB ram, I should go 1 stick of 16gb or 2stick of 8gb?
Normally should go for 2x8GB right?
But let say after 2years if I want to upgrade to 32GB of ram if now I go 1 stick 16gb, 2 years later I just add another 16gb but if now is 2x8gb, 2 years I have to go 2x8gb or rebuy whole 2x16gb to make it 32gb. Plus after 2 years dunno can get exactly same 16GB of ram or not?

I think fast 2x8GB DDR4 more preferable ( for me ). You install 64GB ram play game also wont be faster than 16GB.
If dont multitasking or have many program in background, 8GB also almost enough to run most games.
Un-used memory is useless memory  biggrin.gif

I mean now is 16GB, but after 2 years maybe need 32GB so now should go (a)2x8GB or (b)1x16GB first then later 2 year go with another (a)2x8GB or add (b)1x16GB

What we try to say, you may no need 32GB even after 2 years, 16GB are more than enough  biggrin.gif  unless you do some unusually high workload like running 10 Android emulator  laugh.gif
so just get 2 x 8GB for dual channel.

ok
