TM's DSL-2640B ---> reject this one ---> no option to disable WPS even after flashing with official D-Link firmware.

aztech dsl605ew ---> nah.....too old for this generation.

Minimum requirement --> 802.11N (300Mbps), IPV6 capable, 2.4ghz + 5.0ghz (lack of interference at 5ghz, need to make sure if your laptop, smartphone can support 5ghz too, 2.4ghz is fallback mode)

Maybe something like this https://www.asus.com/Networking/DSLN55U_Annex_A/ (too bad this one lack USB3.0 port)

EDIT: 5ghz support worth it......when you live at place where there are 15 wifi hotspots using 2.4ghz..... rclxub.gif

Hello all, I am using DSL-2640B provided by TM as my modem... however recently the Wi-Fi has been giving me issues where by it didn't work. I'm thinking to either replace it, or just buy another dedicated Wi-Fi router?

I have about 10 devices at home using the Wi-Fi... so maybe it is overloaded.

Yes, internet is available for devices connected on LAN but only the Wi-Fi portion is problematic. Was thinking to get a better router perhaps to take over that function.

Hi fellow sifu need your help here.

Using the free router by TM. Lately the line will disrupted while browsing halfway, but will come to stable after like 30sec. A few minutes later, the line starts to lost signal and browsing fail, but the wifi still connected. Same to ethernet plugged to my laptop, will disrupted halfway, and back to normal after I keep refreshing my browser, my Chrome error shows unable to obtain DNS address when the line is disrupted.. Happened the same with my phone. The line just has no internet connection halfway. Sometimes it shows the site took too long to respond..

Wonder if this is the line problem from TM, or the router is already faulty? How to check it by the way? Have no extra router to check it though. Thanks smile.gif
