Chondromalacia Patellae (also known as CMP, Patello-femoral Pain Syndrome, or Runner's Knee) is a degenerative condition of the cartilage surface of the back of the knee cap, or patella. It produces discomfort or dull pain around or behind the patella. It is common in young adults, especially soccer players, cyclists, rowers, tennis players, ballet dancers and runners. Rugby players are also prone to this injury, especially those playing in positions where the knees are under great stress, such as Prop. The condition may result from acute injury to the patella or from chronic friction between the patella and the groove in the femur through which it passes during motion of the knee. CMP specifically refers to a knee that has been structurally damaged, while the more generic term Patello-femoral Syndrome refers to the earlier stages of the condition, where symptoms might still be fully reversible.

Attention for those who have the NB 15KM vest. The maroon colour vest, the colour will fade. Poor Rashid encountered it first and his clothes all turned pink! I just soaked it in water and in less than 1 minute, the water turned pink. So be careful. Wash your other clothes separetely.

Normal selling price is RM999. But Pacesetters member got 10% discount promotion till 31 May 2007 so I got it for RM899. Plus 2% service charge for credit card so total damage is RM917!

Added on May 20, 2007, 11:45 amWonderful NB Pacesetters 15KM run! Met most of our regular LYN marathoners already except for Amanda. Anyway, I clock 1: 33:26. WOOT! icon_rolleyes.gif

Last 1KM, I up my pace. But it was the last 500M that I sprinted and dashed to the finish line. And at the last 100M, I was running at top speed racing with a female runner, until I can even hear my own footsteps! flex.gif
