No velcro backing plate - can only use their own propriety bonnet like shown in the pics on the box. Machine wise, it's an 'ok' macnine for waxing and *very* light polishing.

Skil rotary is around rm250. Haven't tried it before, but most of the cheaper polishers lack the necessary turque to maintain the rotation speed under load - it slows/bog down once you put pressure/press on it. Still usable with 'ok' performance....considering how much it cost. But I wound suggest, if you can source for the fund, a very much value for money rotary machine is the DeWalt which cost around rm650.

Sounds convincing at that price. Well, since the cost of DeWalt is 650myr why not get the Makita 9227c right is only 100bucks away. hmm.gif

for me, yup like Krismas says, no velcro backing pad. you've to use the bonnet wrap. and i can't ever get the wrap balanced while rotating lols.

If you can get the Makita for rm750 then it's a steal, cuz the cheapest that I know of is around rm850.

Bro N33d, there are limits what a detailer can do. If the runs are above the clear coat or the clear coat itself, it's possible. If they're under the clear, then the whole clear need to be sand off and re-shoot - that's beyond any detailers unless he also do paint job. A decent quality re-spray job would cost in the thousands. If you can afford it, take it to a more reputable painter. If you can't afford to spend that much, just keep sending it back to the sc until you're satisfied. But you'd need to be insistant and keep pushing them....it's your right. You can send to a good and reputable detailer to check first if you wan't, just to make sure whether it can be salvage or not.

Hi KrisMas
Thank again for your informative reply.

Right now, i feel helpless as i just discovered the newly paint bumper has darker tone compared to the car body. This is not related to aging as my paint is just <1 years and i did wax/seal it every month, i also check with my door paint which does not expose to the elements and it consistent with my car body paint instead of the newly painted bumper. Sigh.. life is rough. They even dare to quote the insurance for 2.6k for this kind of shoddy job. shakehead.gif F***ing SC! This kind of paint job is beyond salvage(involve colorcoat) and only repaint is the way to go.
