QUOTE(-kytz- @ Dec 17 2015, 06:26 PM) Go for this. Free shipping too. Which rm 15 wax? This brand I bought the car shampoo before.. The bottle packaging really can spill all the shampoo out when it placed horizontal.. I take it out and pour into mineral water bottle lol.. So u use all those stuff in the package? Rm2x it's quite cheaphttp://www.lazada.com.my/magic101-value-pack-1403763.html Also add in some microfiber towel if u want else use the softest towel you have to dry your car (risk is you may scratch your car paintwork/clearcoat) Get a couple of sponges from Mr Diy. About RM5 for 2 big sponges and 4 small ones. So far I've only spent around RM70 and my black car looks much better than before. Shiny lol.. Using RM15 wax. |

QUOTE(g88 @ Dec 21 2015, 03:49 PM) Sorry bro. Saw an add saying 3 layer polish. Actually I new at this. I am trying to buy a paint glass coat and apply myself to reduce cost. Seeing how best to prepare the car before coating. |

QUOTE(eddie2020 @ Dec 21 2015, 11:49 PM) hehe , so other product sucks in the package? Haven't tried the other Magic 101 products. Just received it yesterday lol. On a side note, I got 2 microfiber towels at only RM15 each! (try to use microfiber as it helps reduce water streaks) I not sure wanted to start from where lol... Wax u using MEZX? shampoo using which? or any other product? Still noob, u wax after washing car and dry it rite? if we not good in waxing, will it damage our paint? Need some guide.. My budget should be around 50-100. What should i buy ? recommended stuff shampoo and wax? Yes wax using MEZX. The cheapest at AEON for the volume. Shampoo using Turtle Wax Wash and Wax. Recommended to get it at Ace Hardware if you want this model, get the 2L one, only a few ringgit more than the 1L one. Damn regretted. You could also try other car shampoo brands (like the magic 101 set). Actually if your car is full of scratches and all, you should Polish it. If still in good condition, the paintwork and all, waxing is good enough. Wax after washing and drying your car. Try not to get those quick spray wax as it's not meant to be standalone wax and they don't last. Get those paste or liquid wax (hint: Magic 101) as your primary wax (probably monthly application) and you can get quick wax as a secondary layer (probably weekly application). Waxing is just adding a layer of "oil" like substance on your car. I don't know how incorrect application will do any harm lol. Just watch some videos on how to apply. Other products to consider, rain repellent, tyre cleaner, tyre shine (makes your tyres look black and slick), dashboard cleaner/protector, leather protector, microfiber towels, tons of sponges... Honestly, no brained to try the Magic 101 set. You get to try 5 products at only RM2X with free shipping! You can never find such a deal anywhere else. QUOTE again, those magic 101 products, or lesser/cheaper products, they are cheap for a reason. they aren't as user friendly, and by that, at a worst case scenario is that they will induce more damage (eg: swirls). ultimately, and as a general "rule" that is applicable in most situations - you get what you pay for. if want super cheap but reputable product, i would highly suggest local osren, or turtle wax if you want USA those rm20+ turtle wax hard shell paste wax is still one of the best basic wax around, albeit a bitch to buff, and a night mare if they get on to plastic trims zip wax is still the go to cheapskate wash and wax shampoo i use, at rm20+ for almost 2 liter, and i only get them during promotion (where they sometimes bundle another small bottle 1 liter along for free lol), and you only use a few cap fulls during a wash... fuck i still got like 2 bottles (impulse buy lol!) still wrapped in sealed plastic while my first bottle i bought N years ago still havent finish. hows that for cheap huh? |

Hello all,
I sent my car for detailing using one of those Groupon packages. The one I bought is as below: 18-step auto detailing Nano car wash Engine cleaning Claying Meguiar’s D155 polishing Meguiar’s 150 polishing Meguiar’s 250 polishing Headlamp cleaning Waxing Nano waxing Windscreen cleaning Rim cleaning Oil stain removal Side door cleaning Vacuuming Carpet cleaning Dashboard protection Tyre shining Fragrance rectifier Now, this is the first time I've sent my car for any polishing so I was not sure what to expect. When I went to pick up my car, I was not able to properly inspect their work due to the poor lighting at the place. On top of that, I was rushing to beat the rush hour traffic. But one thing that felt weird was that my car was already dusty when I went to pick it up. When I got home however, I felt something was amiss. Take a look at the photo below. ![]() Sorry for the poor quality of the photo. On the left, side you can see that it is more polished with better reflections. The right side however, is hazy and filled with water spots. The thing is the left side was polished by some other car wash shop a few weeks ago to show me the effects of polishing. They only buffed that area for less than 1 minute. The right side was untouched then. So when I sent my car to polish this morning I was expecting to get more or less the same results. But now it seems like nothing was done at all to my car. It was just washed and then left to collect dust for the 4 hours I left it there. So I went and asked the place about this. Their reply to me was that the package I took was a basic detailing package, I would need the nano glass coating costing Rm1300 to solve the water spots issue. On top of that, my engine bay was not cleaned at all. Their reply about this was "engine is rubbed by hands and spray chemicals..not direct wash whole engine...". But screw that, no big deal. Before I go ape shit on them for the polish, can you veterans please have a look and advise if the package I bought is really not meant make my car nice and shiny? |
