Not only bad contractor but lowsy designer as well.
Not only dont know how to do basic measurement, but don’t even have design sense.
Charged 10k for design fee but only do normal contractor work don’t check the quality of the outcome. Workmanship sucks but charge expensive.
Beware of annnn design if you’re looking for interior designer, don’t waste your money on this kind of ‘designer’ with no quality.

Very similar to my experience with NT*Y D&B . Wrong drawing, and even wrong execution not following the drawing, hacked wrong places and simply touch up with cheap materials. Before payment very nice spoken. After payment, blame all her bad workmanship on me saying I'm a demanding customer. Installed ceiling fan without safety wire being secured, leaking sink, leaking windows. And I paid almost 100k to be treated like idiot.

I have appointed EUM Renovation under EUM group of companies to do my house renovation since Jan 22. However until today they did not complete the job and stop the works. I have demanded for refund but they unable to return the deposit that i have paid and eventually they have stop replying. I have been dealing with this guy name Glen (phone no. 0142455424). They have changed the company name on their facebook to One Cabinets. Just becareful when you all searching for contractor and try to avoid this company if you all do not want to end up the same situation as mine. Its really frustrating..

You can file a small claim with TTPM for this case.

Just wanna rant that I think there is no single one contractor which will be able to complete the work as per the timeline committed. You will be lucky if the delay is a bit but sometimes the delay will be a lot as well.

Before start doing, always commit the timeline very confidently. After start doing and collect money, i think ALWAYS sure got reason to delay and push out....

yes exactly. Mine one promised can settle within 2 days before start work. In the end, it took 3 and half days.

oh...if your reno starts end of April, actually that is way more than enough time as you have 7 months from May until November (excluding Dec).... my understanding is typically takes 3 months or slightly more only.... but then again, i wasn't expecting 3 months to start with.... but now i'm worried if even 6 months will not be on time also...

When discussing last payment suddenly get angry threaten to come to my house say will do police report.
He order wrong material for roof keep trying to push blame on me.

Hi is there any compilation of Good and Bad Contractors in Kota Kinabalu here?

Contractors can change hand phone and company easily, so it will be hard to track and name them in this bad list

The best way seems to be go for reputable contractor in the market that has exist for more than 5 years minimum then open discussion with them on our allocated budget and preference, see what can they counter offers.

This should be the safer option.

Don't just simply take the cheap one that talk like non profession in the line.

Also always insist on having a proper black and white contract signed with them and stamp duty it. Don't agree on unreasonable payment term especially huge down payment request.
