I suspect you need to consult a lawyer/English teacher on the meaning of what I wrote at post # 659 and 661 , before you response

further about API thing !!!!!!! sweat.gif

What has this (what I wrote at post # 659 and 661) got to do with 'query API directory' thing ? rclxub.gif

In that case, i would avoid cheap "fully synthetic" engine oils. Too good to be true.
Furthermore, I can't even find Lexus' product data sheet online. That adds to my doubt.

Good luck trying.

Is this Idemitsu Fully Synthetic SN5W30 Extreme Eco good?

Datasheet as attached. I plan to use this to replace the current Honda SN0W30 Fully Synthetic oil.

I think that price range is acceptable, so long it has proper spec sheet, or uoa/voa info, or even api certification.

In fact, those boutique full synthetic I use are in the 160-200 range for 4 litres, which isn't too far away, considering the long oci

Lexus fully 5w40 is neither API certified nor having product data sheet for public perusal.

Hi folks.. Anyone have review on the following oil?
Many thanx in advance.

1. Mitsubishi (Under Eneos) 5W-40 Fully Synthetic

2. Lexus 5W-40 Fully synthetic.

Hehehe.. OK OK!
Any reason y r they relatively cheap in the market?

I'm using the Mitsu Eneos oil, 2 times already, change at 10k km. I'd say just fine. Eneos is quite a well known oil brand from Japan. The API rating on this oil is a bit old though, SM only if I remember correctly. The base oil is probably also not the highest grade. That's why they are much cheaper than those latest and highest grade full synth but I think still ok for regular daily cars as long as you do proper OCI.

As for the Lexus oil, it's made by UEA. I never used before but I know many in my car club who have been using for a long time, also fine. Probably similar class to the Mitsu Eneos.

Just changed my engine lubricant to Amsoil Singature Series 0W-20 for my Myvi 1.5SE at Zhapalang Motorsport, immediately I felt the engine is lighter after OIC. flex.gif Thanks to bro Quazacolt for the recommendation on his previous posts. rclxms.gif

Oh was actually wanting to get some car drugs for this weekend Sepang track day, but I couldn't make it in time and he closed for the day already cry.gif

He mentioned to be about someone wanting 0w20 after seen what I've shared lol.
Just curious, would you happen to have myvi owner or service manual? Particularly on viscosity chart/recommendations.
Not too often I see someone wanting such thin viscosity engine oil wink.gif

And no la, not sifu (nor lubricant engineer :lol)
Just another enthusiast still learning and sharing just the same as everyone else biggrin.gif

This weekend? Well you still have few more days and his shop closes at 7pm if I remember correctly, try to make it if you can. biggrin.gif

Haha, yeah... quite tempted to fully syn with thinner viscosity so wanna give it a try. My car aged 3 and 1/2 years now and had been using the Perodua semi syn 5W-30 (RM8x, gold bottle) where they claimed it can last for 10k, but I don't dare to last it that long and usually change the lubricant around 6-7k KM. Furthermore I have a golden heavy foot, especially on acceleration (4-4.5k RPM). I've only used an fully syn lubricant once previously which was Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5W-30 but sadly I didn't feel any different so I switched back to Perodua lubricant after the next OCI. sweat.gif

Yes, I have the service manual and I read it previously that Perodua recommends 5W-30 or 10W-30 for Myvi. I'll check the manual again to see if there's any further info on this and will share it.

I'm using the Honda (Idemitsu) oil on my Myvi too. Myvi manual says 5W30, but nothing wrong using a thinner oil since it's a daily putter and not a heavy foot drive car. Monitoring for FC improvements.

and yea if can get the viscosity chart that would be best. something like this for the mitsubishi 4b1x engine (and this is why i am confident on using 0w20 for my car)
