July 2025 already change all gasket and seal, done by toyota cbu bangi, previously some minor leak but decided to change all gasket and seal for the engine include auto transmission, now no more but just remain use fully 15w50 engine oil πŸ˜΄πŸ›’οΈπŸ”₯🐝πŸ”₯
*
er.....since fixed the seals and gaskets already, why still go back to xw50?

QUOTE(ayamxxx @ Oct 23 2025, 05:21 PM)
Year 1-5 under Honda SC, used 0W-20 Honda, until 100,000 km. Then, the warranty finished. From there, been using Mizu 0W-20 fully synthetic.
*
wa....that means this oil also not too bad, the price for this quite reasonable also....

valvoline brand is legit....but not sure about the "restore and protect" feature....

if got leaking or oil consumption issue, better just fix the issue.

How was it? From 10w40 to 5w30, engine much lighter?

9,000kms in, very satisfied with the oil - operates constantly at 85'c on long highway drives, maxes out at 105'c if I gun it all the way or up Genting.

Serviced my car (Honda Jazz 1.3 Hybrid) slightly over a month ago and they found that the engine is leaking oil. Haven't gotten it fixed yet as I plan to send it to a different workshop.

Since it's been a while and the oil level is quite low (still waiting for the other workshop to free up a slot for my car) is it a good idea to top up temporarily with some cheap engine oil for the moment? Saw some other older threads here mention brands like Bold and Mizu which are very affordable (~RM50-80 @4L) for 0W-20.

The upcoming repair will be quite extensive.. the Honda service center gave me a 7 page list of various gaskets and internal seals to be replaced lol. With all this work to be done to the engine I suppose using the cheap engine oil shouldn't be a problem since they're going to have to open up the engine anyway?

Yeah you can use mizu 0w20, make sure to check the oil level everyday, keep top up if the level getting low, if thee engine oil getting low drastically after top up, no choice but need to send to outside workshop as soon as possible ( if honda sc waiting list take a long time for them to fix your car )

If it a Honda, and at high mileage, years, expect the flywheel oil seal leaked and need to replace all.

Managed to grab mobil super 5000 semi synthetic 10w40 4.73L from vanli during 12.12 next service for my toyota camry 2.0e which required 4.2L of engine oil

https://my.shp.ee/hAqj2bC

No more lazz oil 15w50 fully synthetic, previously use it due to accidentally bought 2 bottles of 4L, don't want to waste money, just use it
