What type of seal will leak. Once hit high mileage, or many years, seal leaking are normal and workshop now how to solve this. I send my Honda for Flywheel oil seal to workshop when it is 9 years old, 220k km, and all other seal that are worth to replace at that time.

Any other seals/rubber/hose replaced?

Seems like if you search in petronas lube PDS, there are only two fluid that have PDS uploaded and it is ILSAC-GF6 graded (although the R3 oil is GF6A grade).

I dont understand the PDS but seems like PDS is quite simplified, i have some sample pending to send to blackstone for analysis.

I got feeling it is not PAO type engine oil unlike those premium brand like Amsoil or Penrite

I am the one whom tumpang Quazacolt the petronas oil to Blackstone for oil analysis, the actual oil is actually Proton R3 Fully Synth Oil.
When I asked Proton R3 to share me the PDS, the PDS identical which is shared in an earlier reply I quoted below.

The Syntium 3000 sold in Malaysia is not GF-6a rated, so far the only rated and sold locally is the R3 oil.

A search in API database only show this following petronas lube was GF-6A rated which is also labeled as Syntium 3000


Too bad alot of petronas good stuff was not even really sold here, this show Malaysian cant swallow the high cost of high end Petronas lube but no issue paying that same amount of money for Motul or Liqui Molly lol

If u look at Petronas shopee mall, 5w30, it is rated under ILSAC GF-5, which it is correct to say it's not GF-6 rated. Even the bottle showing it not GF-6a. But look at their Syntium 7000 series, it has GF-6A wording there.

Btw look at Mizu, 0w20, it is also ILSAC - GF -6A rated. Doubt this specifications they can fake one.

Not sure why but maybe that what they decide to sell here locally, I have no reason to believe petronas would like to scam us but maybe they have specific reason of doing so since they have a local lube plant in Melaka isnt it?
Not sure abt Mizu but for me as long its rated in API page it should be fine.
Tricky part is if the manufacturer is using an totally different naming for their line
Like company abc file their data to API but on their product were branded XYZ with no links to ABC

I don't think they intend to scam etc, its a business with plenty of law to comply with. Believe the 7000 Syntium series as the latest products hence with the latest requirements, GF-6A, while the old products using old requirements.

For API, it should be listed there in their website etc. And from this post, if want to purchase EO online, buying it from shopee mall is better than any private seller, except for certain cases where there are  a few well known, reputable company that even has physical store, example Vanli Group.

Is it right to assume Shell Helix Ultra 5w40 with 'Untuk Pasaran MALAYSIA' sticker priced below RM130 as fake oil?

Because that price point is only possible with parallel imported SHU, that does not have 'Untuk Pasaran MALAYSIA' sticker.

My over 10 years old P2 car, power steering rack is leaking oil, when service engine oil told me is broken, replace part price range 1k to 2.5k so he told me can just add steering oil, no need urgent replace
When i go shop buy steering oil, shop give me automatic trasmission gear oil, is same thing?

Most hydraulic power steering pump use automatic transmission fluid, anything with dexron 3 is more than enough.

Power steering pump do need oil change every 60k /km to increase the life span of your power steering pump oil seal, bush , gasket, etc

Now market many refurbished power steering pump you can insist refurbished your own power steering pump/rack if still serviceable and leave the car at workshop for 3 to 5 working day's if you okay with it , no need new power steering rack or pump, if workshop insist you to change new either chop you or workshop collect old pump/steering rack refurbished and sell again to earn more 😂
