Hydraulic power steering pump/rack usually can last very long, my pickup truck dmax rough condition usage fluid change every 30k/km this year 16 year old still no sign of leaking at 500k /km , per fluid change/flush roughly rm120 x 16 time for my usage also roughly RM 2k 😂

I think not a bad luck i mean hydraulic power steering pump already very long and technically many improvement and very reliable , so either oil change issues or user like to turn the steering to the end still keep pushing without let go technically can build up unnecessary pressure and stress causing the leaking if fluid is full of material and oil seal is starting hardened .

it depends on what abuse you're referring to.

i don't generally run long OCI since i only got 1 car and its reliability is on high priority.

that said however, my oils do frequently see 100-120c oil temps, and they have peaked 130-140+ Celsius before.
and, longest i've had a sample, Penrite, was about 1.5 years?
It Was from Nov 2020 to Mar 2021, then the sample was kept in room until Feb 2022

long oci... sometimes i forget so ended up 2x or many x longer... lol... so just curious since you frequently send your oil for testing, if you have any type of degradation learnings to share...

if you track often, then higher viscosity maybe required so that at high elevated temp the eo is at the proper viscosity for the engine... but your oil analysis probably will show you any issues to be aware of...

I'm using SynPower Eco 0w20 from local distributor, no need import.

Less than 40 per liters.
Need a carton of 6 bottles / 6 liters per order.
