want to ask 5 years old 58K proton vvt engine
5w30 engine oil which brand should i go for?
use back proton petronas semi or shell or castrol?
cuz i see shopee live vanli group (many sifu mentioned here) they recommend castrol engine oil
nromal city drive only

it doesn't matter which brand you should go for , the most important thing is follow the original sae grade engine oil recommended by the manufacturer , if your car mileage around 58k plus then you should go for fully synthetic 5w30 api sn / sp

My city drive Iriz 1.6 VVT takes Mizu 5w30 regularly. Last December, I put Mizu 0w20 cz got extra 4L EO on it, no issues whatsoever. Found out this give more lighter feeling when driving, FC just similar.

means you mixed both grades of EO or currently you use 0w20 EO ?

last time when purchased this used car, straight use 5w30 fully synthetic for 3 years+. last year jump to 0w20 fully synthetic. both with Mizu brand.

btw today , i just placed an order for mizu 10w40 4L semi synthetic + mizu 10w40 1L semi synthetic , the 1L just bought extra incase i need to top up later on , need to service my car before hari raya

Anyone bought petronas EO made for EU from Vanli before?

nope , if petronas engine oil rather purchase it direct from their petrol station , btw i never bought engine oil from vanli , usually i bought direct from official store , btw any problem ? did you bought it ?

The oil can smell burnt smell once open the seal.

used to buy Mobil 1 from them last time, a long time ago. Now unfortunately no more. Plus if ur car need 0w20 EO, lack of brand available especially if needs more than 4L per oil change.

vanli used to claimed that their engine oil plus all their products 100% genuine , yet still i'm avoiding buying engine oil online except from official store itself , if you doubt bout the engine oil , better not use it or else it will spoil your engine

just received my mizu engine oil yesterday , will service my car this coming friday for upcoming hari raya , love mizu engine oil so much , great oil with reasonable price

I was surprised with their packaging (kinda premium packaging), been their regular user since 2020, right after warranty ended. My car needed 0w20 and not many brand offer 4L + 1L bottles for shopee mall brand, hence becoming Mizu user after

yes , black mizu box looks premium .. i do noticed that too , not many brands got 1L .. mizu definitely better then motion tech engine oil , been using motion tech engine oil once , but i think mizu is better

Wanna try Petronas Synthium later cz of this comment on oil analysis. Their Shopee mall price is also ok if combo with shopee voucher

tempted to try petronas engine oil too , to be honest i've tried plenty of engine oil before but not petronas .. may be later i will try for the next service , currently just service my car with mizu engine oil
