no. Canon doesn't store shutter count for quite a while now.

It works, you just need to pay

Alternatively, Magic Lantern will work too.

Yeah Magic Lantern can find the shutter count. Easy to install and uninstall magic lantern if you want to just use it to check shutter count.

I doubt the current version I have works with 6D, 70D and 7D but should work on all other older cameras. But you can PM me your email then you can try it out and let us know?

No place is crime free so when walking down streets especially crowded places always take care of your camera.  There are stories of thieves bumping into you.  And when you look at your camera your lens is gone!  Hard to chase the thieves in the crowded streets when you lose sight of them.  Many L lenses have been stolen in China like this.  L lenses are targeted as easy to identify its an expensive lens with that red ring and sold for good money 2nd hand.

hahha will cover the red ring with a rubber band. thanks for the advice sifu.

Siam Reap rise because of discover of Angkor Wat, nth else u can visit beside those temples (actually i quite bore at 3rd day of visiting those temples XD)
or you can consider tonel sap, i do not go to that place.
for the safety u saying, due to raining, i leave my camera in hotel room, and do not manage to walk around the town at night. (my lens grow fungus, and my camera shutter button malfunction after i came back Malaysia that time, need to sent them to service  doh.gif )

thats a good suggestion, tonle sap. almost forgotten about that. thumbup.gif

will post some photos of my trip when i get back. will go with my big dslr for shots that i have more time with, and will have another compact one for the streets.
i imagine the streets to be something like petaling street. that sort of environment?

there is a pub street at Siam Reap, the environment will like bukit bintang, the time i went is low season, not really crowded, you may explore some other site, mayb can find something interesting.

jz need to watch out hitting your camera on the staircase when climbing the temple accidentally, the staircase are narrow and high

Dave Dugdale has a program that can find out the shutter count. its on his blog site in that link above. in there you will see "Windows Users Click here for the Shutter Count Program – it works and it is FREE." I downloaded all 4 files and used the program and found my 550D shutter count on it.
