No place is crime free so when walking down streets especially crowded places always take care of your camera. There are stories of thieves bumping into you. And when you look at your camera your lens is gone! Hard to chase the thieves in the crowded streets when you lose sight of them. Many L lenses have been stolen in China like this. L lenses are targeted as easy to identify its an expensive lens with that red ring and sold for good money 2nd hand.
hahha will cover the red ring with a rubber band. thanks for the advice sifu.

Siam Reap rise because of discover of Angkor Wat, nth else u can visit beside those temples (actually i quite bore at 3rd day of visiting those temples XD)
or you can consider tonel sap, i do not go to that place.
for the safety u saying, due to raining, i leave my camera in hotel room, and do not manage to walk around the town at night. (my lens grow fungus, and my camera shutter button malfunction after i came back Malaysia that time, need to sent them to service

)
thats a good suggestion, tonle sap. almost forgotten about that.

will post some photos of my trip when i get back. will go with my big dslr for shots that i have more time with, and will have another compact one for the streets.
i imagine the streets to be something like petaling street. that sort of environment?
