QUOTE(JackXxX @ Dec 3 2014, 11:53 AM) Don't know how to describe it haha. Coming from the Saga FL the slope I never had problem before going up until I drove on it with the Preve. Preve is a heavy car as we know but maybe it's just me having to get used to the car. Ok once i get my car i try it out and share here. Tag me later when you get your new car. I want to hear your experience with it I'm living nearby JB btw, so long haven't been to mid valley and such haha. Last time was during uni days. Haih feel like old fag already |

QUOTE(JackXxX @ Dec 2 2014, 09:43 PM) Right now I am still trying to get the feel of the car. Quite a heavy car, had some trouble while stopping at a steep slope to take the ticket from the machine. You know la the queue is slow and quite a chore to maintain the car from slipping back down. Surprisingly I don't have any trouble with slow response or lag as many of the complaints. Accelerating at traffic lights and coming in to roundabouts from stop position I feel is normal and okay. QUOTE(Nephrite @ Dec 2 2014, 11:20 PM) Owh ya how do you describe steep slope. Because when i test drive the preve at slope it did not roll back. How steep is your slope ? I find the Hill Hold Assist on my Preve Turbo to be erratic. Sometimes it rolls back, sometimes it will not roll back irrespective of the gradient of the slope. Even if the car rolls down when on a steep slope, it won't roll all the way down the slope. It will just roll down a bit and stop there. In this sense I do think the Hill Hold Assist does work, but on certain occasions the car will roll down slightly before coming to a complete halt. If you are KL people the slope got as steep as Mid Valley IGB Tower when going up to parking ? ( Because as i know i drove many auto car only that place parking when climbing up will roll down because its too steep. ) Others like Sunway, Subang, PJ Up Town, and many more steep slope i never experience roll back before. I scare behind people follow too close then the car roll back then there comes problem. Last time at Mid Valley there got people follow kissing my car buttock so near lucky no roll back. Some driver tak sabar sabar rushing and like to follow people near near. Slow throttle response or lag when accelerating from standstill is inherent in the Preve but acceptable. It is most apparent when the car is stuck in stop-go-stop-go bumper to bumper crawl traffic. I am on Manual mode and use the paddle shifters most of the time when I am on city drive. I only switch to D when traveling at highway speed above 80km/h. This post has been edited by SportyHandling: Dec 4 2014, 12:10 PM |

There is no hill hold on Preve, even if you have EVP.
If you seen Suprima S that has hill hold, you have to press the button below the heater button to activate. This post has been edited by mengsuan: Dec 4 2014, 12:01 PM |

QUOTE(Nephrite @ Dec 4 2014, 02:29 PM) You said got hill hold assist. If you have the User Manual of the Preve you can check it. If I'm not mistaken the User Manual of the Preve Turbo indicates that the vehicle comes with the Hill Hold Assist. In real life driving, you can just test whether the car comes with the feature or not by releasing the brakes when the car is on a gentle or steep slope. You said no hill hold assist on Preve. Now i also pening. Either Yes or No hill hold assist on Preve. |

I know that my Preve don`t have that hill hold assist already so at steep slope i must take extra caution abit.Normal slope at normal road or highway or hill slope i am not that worry. Steep slope like those going up shopping mall parking that one i worry abit. |

Hill hold assist doesn't work by just releasing brakes. There is a need to push a button to tell the car you need the assist. The clutch is not completely open so it doesn't roll back like neutral. If you are holding your car by the hill after releasing your brakes, you're just wearing out your clutch, there is no brakes applied, whether it is Exec or Premium or Premium with 6 airbags or LE.

So Preve has a manually activated Hill hold assist function? |
