beside to hold the boot tray, it predesign for change spare tyre. spare tyre and stock tyre wheel is different size.. so if u put stock tyre into it, the layer to cover will not fit actually.. so u can move the layer on the hook so can fit flatly.

now new preve didnt come with boot tray by default, but it upgrade into 6 airbags and reduce little price compare with previous..

Thanks for the info bro. Looking forward to join the club soon. laugh.gif

So means that 2 metal holder there is to make the layer of the mat flat when the Stock Tyre is being replaced by the Spare Tyre.

So when the Stock Tyre were in the boot then the mat will be uneven due to the different size of Tyre that's why they created the 2 holder in order able to put the mat above it and make the platform surface flat.

Now me got offer RM 5k rebate and 3 years FOC service / warranty 5 years.

Mine is CVT Exec 2014 so means got air bag on the seat ?

Like that i have to get Seat Mat or Small Pillow cannot get cover already.

My long pants and short pants behind got button and some got zips so i scare it will damage the seat fabric that`s why i need something to protect or seat above so that it wont scratch the seat.

I haven`t got my car need wait next week end. From Tanjung Malim to KL.

Based on this

The diagram also did not clearly stated that airbag comes from pillar or seat back.

Hi,  just got my Fire Red Preve yesterday evening after more than a month waiting for it.  So far enjoying the ride, acceleration is great.

Just want to ask one thing about the braking, there's a continuous gluk gluk sound coming in only when I'm braking and the steering shakes a little bit.  Is it normal for the car as I am just coming to 100KM with it and will it be gone as I rake in the kilometers?

Glad if anybody can enlighten me smile.gif

Would be glad if you can share some picture here.

Welcome thumbup.gif

I am waiting for my Preve too.

Too lazy to snap pics and my camera basically has the quality of a potato haha.  Basically the same as any other you can find on the net.

Right now I am still trying to get the feel of the car.  Quite a heavy car, had some trouble while stopping at a steep slope to take the ticket from the machine.  You know la the queue is slow and quite a chore to maintain the car from slipping back down.

Surprisingly I don't have any trouble with slow response or lag as many of the complaints.  Accelerating at traffic lights and coming in to roundabouts from stop position I feel is normal and okay.

Good luck and may you get your order as soon as possible.  Btw what colour did you choose? smile.gif
*
Metallic E. Brown and as what i saw under sunlight like gold shining colour so i pick that.

My house got metallic silver car and black already so don`t want the silver.

Owh ya how do you describe steep slope. Because when i test drive the preve at slope it did not roll back. How steep is your slope ?

If you are KL people the slope got as steep as Mid Valley IGB Tower when going up to parking ? ( Because as i know i drove many auto car only that place parking when climbing up will roll down because its too steep. )

Others like Sunway, Subang, PJ Up Town, and many more steep slope i never experience roll back before.

I scare behind people follow too close then the car roll back then there comes problem. Last time at Mid Valley there got people follow kissing my car buttock so near lucky no roll back. Some driver tak sabar sabar rushing and like to follow people near near.

Drive Preve like you would a manual, just like when you did hill test when taking driving license.

1. Stop on hill
2. Foot on brake
3. Pull handbrake
4. Foot OFF brake
5. Foot on accelerator
6. As the car feels like it wants to move, slowly release handbrake

Nice Guide. Thanks laugh.gif

I drive edi 3++ years near to 4 years already. Roll back issue i experience only around 5 times.

Don't know how to describe it haha.  Coming from the Saga FL the slope I never had problem before going up until I drove on it with the Preve.  Preve is a heavy car as we know but maybe it's just me having to get used to the car.

Tag me later when you get your new car.  I want to hear your experience with it smile.gif

I'm living nearby JB btw, so long haven't been to mid valley and such haha.  Last time was during uni days. Haih feel like old fag already  cry.gif  cry.gif

QUOTE(SportyHandling @ Dec 4 2014, 11:48 AM)
I find the Hill Hold Assist on my Preve Turbo to be erratic. Sometimes it rolls back, sometimes it will not roll back irrespective of the gradient of the slope. Even if the car rolls down when on a steep slope, it won't roll all the way down the slope. It will just roll down a bit and stop there. In this sense I do think the Hill Hold Assist does work, but on certain occasions the car will roll down slightly before coming to a complete halt.

Slow throttle response or lag when accelerating from standstill is inherent in the Preve but acceptable. It is most apparent when the car is stuck in stop-go-stop-go bumper to bumper crawl traffic. I am on Manual mode and use the paddle shifters most of the time when I am on city drive. I only switch to D when traveling at highway speed above 80km/h.
*
You said got hill hold assist.

QUOTE(mengsuan @ Dec 4 2014, 11:59 AM)
There is no hill hold on Preve, even if you have EVP.

If you seen Suprima S that has hill hold, you have to press the button below the heater button to activate.
*
You said no hill hold assist on Preve.

Now i also pening. Either Yes or No hill hold assist on Preve.

If you have the User Manual of the Preve you can check it. If I'm not mistaken the User Manual of the Preve Turbo indicates that the vehicle comes with the Hill Hold Assist. In real life driving, you can just test whether the car comes with the feature or not by releasing the brakes when the car is on a gentle or steep slope.
*
I know that my Preve don`t have that hill hold assist already so at steep slope i must take extra caution abit.

Normal slope at normal road or highway or hill slope i am not that worry. Steep slope like those going up shopping mall parking that one i worry abit.

Mine is RM 5k discount + 3 years Service + 5 years warranty + many FOC such as...

Steering lock / LLumar solar + security tinting film JPJ standard / smart tag + touch and go / boot tray / med kit / full tank Ron 95 and many more i also forget.

But for me i don`t think will up to RM 10k discount better call and ask properly.

Now max i saw is RM 7k discount for RM 8k is internet people said one then RM 10k i never see before.

let me add more confidence for u to buy IRIz  rclxms.gif  rclxms.gif
Preve all spec no more stock now .... PRemium have very very limited unit of Elegant brown , i also not guarantee can get also if you book from me . 2014 stock will no more production , proton will only produce new stock for 2015 year of make
*
You are absolutely right. That day when i go and book my preve my agent also said preve want to finish stock already.

That day when my car arrived on last saturday i go check for condition and test so i am very satisfied because everything goes smooth.

Then got a couple walk in told my agent said they want to buy preve and my agent said i am sorry preve sudah habis and ask them buy IRIZ.

Then after 20 minutes i check mine done then i saw the couple sign to book IRIZ. I wonder what the agent told that couple make them change mind.

For me i choose Preve over IRIZ because i wanted a bigger car so that my family is comfortable and of course i also needed the bigger boot compartment and more more different reason.

Just got my Preve just now at evening time. Takes so many effort to set everything up nicely.

The most thing i feel annoying is removing the plastic from the back seat.

Baru finish wash and wipe until sparkling. ( Using AMWAY Car Shampoo )

Overall never regret my decision getting Preve. Indeed a great car.

Cantik and congratulations!!!

I know how it feels. I was like that 3 months ago when I got my new Preve.

Learn and get used to the basic things first, even changing the signal light switch to the left takes some time. The lights, wiper switches, etc.

Learn the auto cruise etc later after you got the basic in place.

ENJOY your new toy! Ha.

P/S  Always be on the look out when reversing. Preve has a high back and you cannot see the back that well. You can hardly see a Saga parked behind you!
*
Ya Agree behind is quite high.

My house got Wira and Hyundai Elantra also the back is lower than Preve.

I always make sure no one behind me or the back is clear only i reverse. Thus the reverse sensor is quite good. I tried use 2 pieces of leaf to block also the sensor beep.

Actually today morning i wake up also car dirty liao. Kuala Lumpur is so dusty. sweat.gif

hi all.. im still new to this preve.. planning to get preve premium this month.. my questions are

1- if we use spoiler such as lancer GT spoiler, will it interrupt the sight  when we want to look through the rear view mirror?

2- any recommendation for reverse camera? budget around rm300..

3- what is the best size for rim and tyres that will not cause the "sagat" issue?

thank u in advance for the help....  notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif
*
I will answer for Question 1 only. No 2 and 3 i am not sure so i don`t commend. icon_rolleyes.gif

For me I don`t recommend you to put spoiler at Preve. The reason why is Preve back is tall and high and if u add a Spoiler like Lancer GT it block your view by half.

I got saw people regret installing spoiler on car before.

Make sure you think twice and do research before install spoiler on Preve.

I assume you would install this spoiler as below :- ( Mitsubishi Lancer GT )
http://image.motortrend.com/f/27422489+w75...GTS-spoiler.jpg

This is just my opinion icon_rolleyes.gif laugh.gif
