QUOTE(1282009 @ Jan 17 2015, 09:51 PM) In my opinion, it is. I believe the pictures are taken from either block B or C (facing forest) and the railing at the lift area is between type A1 & A2. To be fair, the design of the rest does not depict any flat-like design, just the railings only. But I'm more concern on the safety & also during heavy downpour. The whole area will be wet & we can't even manage to go to the lift lobby. There is a rooftop garden. Therefore it will take very strong wind to wet the corridors. Having said that, I would have preferred walls with windows for safety. Maybe can petition for this.

Maybe can petition for this. From the YouTube video, it seems the roof top garden got void area (or air well) which allow the sunlight and rain water to go in. The layout plan showing that the void area is quite small but the pictures taken slowing it is quite big. Agrees they should cover it up with either wall or tempered glass

just giving them some benefit of doubt... could it be possible that the rails we see are just temporary for construction safety & later they will install proper glass?.... haha just trying to be hopeful....

First, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
Some people like stainless steel, some people like brickwall plastered and paint, some people like it glass while others like it mild steel with quality paint.
And in terms of safety, also it seems to be related to "looks" as well.
Brickwall looks "safest" steel looks "second safe" Glass looks "not so safe"
Actually, as long as it is calculated, a thick glass can be stronger than a brickwall.

QUOTE(CMW123 @ Jan 22 2015, 08:31 PM) A developer who only thinks of dollar and sen will choose the one with the lowest cost I just asked my friend who works as a professional QS, he said brick low wall is actually cheaper to construct compared to this steel railing... As long as the railing height is conformed to the requirement, nothing is wrong. He also said it is all boils down to personal preference, heck some might even say the glass railing at the balcony is not safe...

QUOTE(BigMan123 @ Jan 24 2015, 09:45 AM) Railing can be improved...the color is so like school grills I tend to differ based on personal preference. There is nothing wrong if any part of our house or condo looks like school, hospital or even crematorium. There are school, hospital or even crematorium that are decorated more beautiful than any of our house. This post has been edited by GangHo: Jan 24 2015, 09:26 AM
