my friend received SMS saying that upgrade to 20Mbps for RM249.00 can get full channel HyppTV (127 channel)

Anyone can confirm this?
*
I thought the last offer was 10Mbps with full HyppTV @RM199?

You're confusing bit and byte..
Unifi package is 5mbit/s and your download speed is 500kbyte/s..
1 byte = 8 bit
5000kbit/8 = 625kbyte is your max speed..

Is there a customer referral reward or something like that by UNIFI?
*
No customer referral rewards, but loyalty rewards for every ringgit you paid on all TM services (UniFi, Streamyx, fixed line, etc.) https://www.tm.com.my/TMRewards/Consumer/Pages/Home.aspx

I have numerous times redeemed the points to offset payment for my UniFi bill.

my modem, router and phone is on 24/7
only set top box turn on when required

this is the best practice, i do same.
power on n off modem n router saves max rm2 a month but give a tonne of problems...
n someone told me there r burglars incl clever foreigners go round with special equipment to detect yr router - off means no one home, best to strike. tongue.gif

this has been around for ages... for vip10 contracts at expiry.
if u dont want hypptv, u can nego to get rm229.
mind u, if u need to access china sites, think twice - unifi had twice for 2 weeks in last 3 months betrayed customers for china sites - they dont pay enough for bandwidth for traffic to/from china - this will repeat until they pay more n it doesnt look like they will.

full hyptv = ?
imo, full = megapack + sports pack.
but no... vip10 rm199 gets u mega only, no sports. pay rm50 for it. or swap with mega...

Normal price for 10Mb is RM199/month.
For this promotion, you only need to pay RM179/month. RM20 savings for every month.

But to get this promotion, they will renew your contract with another 2 years.
Only you can decide either it's worth it or not.

While this is the normal trend that I can observe when there's no issue:

I ran into this problem on both Wired and Wireless connecting to the RG-DLINK-WBR2300... I tried to connect via LAN to the ONU-ALCATEL-LUCENT-I240G but it seems like the other LAN ports are disabled. Any advice for me on this? cry.gif

No. If u want new decoder u need to terminate the current subscription to unifi and apply a new one.

If you don't use HyppTV, you can disable the HyppTV port on 3rd party routers & you can use all 4 ports to connect to devices.
But if you still need HyppTV, then you'll have to buy a 3rd party router + a 4 port switch as there are no 3rd party routers that comes with more than 4 ethernet port except for enterprise routers.

The best replacement router depends on your budget. State your budget then we can provide some suggestion.
A 3rd party router is available from as low as RM70 & as high as RM1.2K.

Hello guys.. Just got the Unifi Vip 5 installed 3 days ago.. was wondering why the internet speed drops/sometimes even none when im in my room. The unifi router (RG4332) is in my living room (I live in an apartment btw). Is this due to the crappy router or is it something else?

Help anyone? biggrin.gif

I think your problem same with mine (a few post up) but with different router, I suspect is the crappy router given by TM... I'm getting a TP LINK 4300 to test out if it's the root cause of this... hmm.gif
Want to get the AC1750 but price too high for me... shocking.gif

You're repacing the UniFi's crappy router with another shitty router.

Good luck.

You mean TL-WDR4300 is a shitty router? hmm.gif
If 4300 shitty, TL-WDR3600 also not very good too?
