Bro oh mean crown angle and med fluorescence not good?
*
Yeap. Crown angle 36 is too steep, so this affects the cut quality and the price should be cheaper. Medium fluorescence should also lower the diamond price, although there is a high chance that fluorescence won't cost any trouble, but the price should be lower.

Some easy steps to follow for newbies:

Input the GIA number here to get a rough idea of the cut quality. Yes, some people may argue that this based on Enchanted Diamond's propietary set of requirements, but it is a good starting point: https://enchanteddiamonds.com/cut-score-calculator

Input HCA:
http://www.pricescope.com/tools/hca
General rule is to reject stone that is above the score of 2. (The lower the score the better). Please be reminded that this is a diamond rejection tool, not selection tool, meaning you use it to reject poor performers.

Ohh I see. Newbie never mind bro, I was a newbie myself too haha.

I "what the fook" just now cuz how come hearts and arrows NONE one?? That's a good indicator that the stone is not good. You can clearly see in the link I posted. The arrows are either senget or invisible.

How cheap also AVOID!!!

hmm, proportions wise, this one seem okay in comparison to others. things to be picky about is the 35.5 crown angle and the 16% crown height, which is at the border of a good diamond IMO:
https://www.gia.edu/report-check?reportno=2246348700

Are you able to see the real diamond? And how much will this cost?

Made up my mind to propose next year - aint getting any younger by the years.

After screening through pages, seems like JP and Michael Trio (both in SG) offers one of the best value for money diamonds yeah?

Like what forumers have suggested, best to get loose diamond and have the setting done in MY. Btw all, if i have the loose diamond, do i put it on a temporary setting to propose or set in directly?

JP probably gives you the best value for a brick-and-mortar store style of business. They will educate you properly before a purchase and will show you all the necessary images - ASET, Idealscope, H&A, to determine the performance of the diamond. You can go to their Youtube channel and get a gist of it first as they have some educational videos. If I am in SG, I will probably go to JP myself as well if I am looking for a diamond.

Getting the setting done in MY may worth it or may not worth it, it is best if you find out the price of the ring setting you want first and see what price the jewellers quote you, if the price is not far off, must well do it in one place to reduce the hassle.

To propose, you can consider using a temporary ring holder first and then only look for your ring setting and get the finger size correct. Something like this: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/FREE-SHIPPI...20-317462baee4b

Only heard about Michael Trio, never explore further about them before, you may however visit them as well since you have plenty of time before next year.

All the best! nod.gif

I did not have a good experience with Michael Trio.

Went there and told them that I am looking for a heart shaped diamond and gave them my 4C requirements. Then they showed me a few ready stocks but were not to my liking. So they told me to give them a day to source for a few more heart shapes and that they will contact me once they are ready. Looked at a few of their ring designs before leaving.

The next day they contacted me and asked me to go to their shop again to "view" the stones. When I was there, the sales assistant whipped out a few sheets of printed GIA certs and asked me to study the certs and let him know if I prefer any one of them. He then proceeded to take out his invoice book and started filling in my details. I opened eyes big big, told him to hold his horses and asked him how to choose. He said they did not have the actual stones with them and these were located somewhere in their "warehouse" so all I could do was to look at the proportions, the 4Cs etc. from the papers.

I straight thanked him for his efforts and left the place.

OH! geez, didnt know their customer service personnel are not professionally trained - or maybe its their SOP. Hmm, but the prices are quite competitive (in their website) vs. brian and whiteflash. As for JP, my bro just chose a flawless diamond, custom made his diamond ring to all things fancy - only 3ksgd+ quite affordable for flawless.

Anyone here knows does anywhere in Malaysia sell's temporary loose diamond holder? Thank you!
