Still angry that my SGs can be so b****y. That Roscoe! He cling onto my hand digging his claws in while pissing! Refuse to get off till he is done. What can I do? I do not think they are untame. They are just too naughty and I let them walk all over me, literally!

Anybody here can talk about SG discipline?

I am this close to biting their pink snouts. And this glider slave still adores them so (such is my fate).

Good to know one of the SGs have found its way home. Let's hope the others will come back ;0;

Sugre

Maybe just take your glider out in his pouch first and then just put your hand in the pouch for a while. Then if the glider climbs out on his own -- chances are, he might not pee on you? Just a thought. tongue.gif

What do you do when your glider falls asleep on your shoulder? laugh.gif

Not sure if its because I take them out. The only time they are active is when I am going to sleep or before I leave for work. Its almost impossible to play with them unless I take them out to play after work in the evening. Then they poo and pee on me. But I do let them play a while first... Even when they come out on their own they are rascals! Actually dared to jump on the tail of the squirrel killing cat at one point.

Maybe I have to be more strict with them. How to be stern without using force?

My gliders tends to sleep under my shirt, if they fall asleep, I scoop them and put them back in the coconut shell. But after a few minutes, they climb out looking for me again.. LOL..

Oh no -- I'm going to Australia for a week in November (on the 19th - 25th). I need a sitter for my glider. ;0; Definitely someone who has the time to spare and the knowledge and the experience. Cage, food bowl, water bottle, water dish, pouch, food will be provided plus cash (let me know the price). I read in the previous thread for SGs that Connie once took care of a glider. Connie, will you help care for mine? ;0; Or anyone else who has the wealth of experience? Pm me!

[update: have a sitter! thanks connie! rclxms.gif ]

sugre, it's not impossible that your glider simply doesn't click with you. it happens. like Donny, he couldn't click with his previous owner to the point that he was returned but he clicked with my mom.
my mom's friend's gliders... the male doesn't click with her but clicks with the sister. only the female clicks with her.

I'm curious... I was wondering if body-sprays and EDTs will mask your *real* scent. How will the SG react? Will it still bond with you? OR will the SG be confused because you got two different scents?

Also, i'm thinking of getting an SG. but in your opinion, should i get from a breeder or a pet shop? i'm just concerned that the pet shop won't know how to treat an SG properly and I have an uphill battle to get it back to good health.

Advice... please. smile.gif
