QUOTE(jyunkin @ Sep 29 2006, 03:43 PM) quite true .. become like hammie .. i can see since last time when is exp .. all take care like *toooot* when it goes cheap ... SOME ppl think is more than juz a toy ... of coz there is alot of pet lover like u guys and gals out there to take care of this creature ... but a 200+ tiny cr8ture .... quite costly You can't judge an animal's value by its size. There's a lot of factors involve in determining the price such as low birth rate, availabilty, qualities and so on. And for most of the hobbyists, price isn't really matter. There's even someone the bought a betta for more than RM1k, but we can't call them an idiot for buying a small fish for that much right? It depends on the individual that knows how to admire the beauty of the creature despite the expensice price tag.

But handcarry still have to go through the scanning machine right? Won't they detect it? Thanks for your idea anyway, appreciate it

QUOTE(yagami15my15 @ Oct 6 2006, 01:44 PM) any of u SG owner live in apartment or condo? cos i was wandering if its dangerous if u open the window and the SG romp around the room and jump out of the window? You have to keep your room escape-proof if you are going to let your SG comes out and play with you. It doesn't matter if you live in a terrace house or an apartment.

QUOTE(crazymouse_yyh @ Dec 3 2006, 09:12 PM) 2 months out of pouch is the best time. It is easier to bond. 4 months still ok lah... as long it has been tamed before. If say 4 months but always in cage and never handled before... then it is gonna be a real problem. But they're completely weaned at 4 months old if i'm not mistaken right?

QUOTE(crazymouse_yyh @ Dec 3 2006, 10:49 PM) Well, I read 2 months is good... they are weaned at about 8 to 9 weeks out of pouch I think.... anyway, to be safe, I always feed joeys some lactose free puppymilk to get them used to human interaction and also new food. Alrite, will tell my friend to do it, i got no experience in keeping SG

QUOTE(sangterap @ Dec 9 2006, 12:33 AM) hao, They are only Day 18 OOP. Which is less than a month out of pouch... Dear All, Can u imagine, they are actually born in September 2006. Now they still cannot go to new home.... But the problem is, petshops are selling them at this age. Until now, they still not weaned yet...still hiding in the pouch i give to the parents. They have not learn to eat on their own yet. So just imagine....what the petshops and irresponsible breeders are doing. Most of the joeys sold in market looks like both my joeys.... Conclusion is, dun buy because CUTE but buy what is healthy. They will grow out of their CUTEness anyway....accept them as they are.... How to determine the age of a joey to avoid getting one sold by irresponsible breeder?

QUOTE(leezhunjin @ Dec 15 2006, 02:41 PM) hard not to overfeed them..... they look soooo cute!!!!! oh... and i want to ask.. what brand and flavour of baby cereal do you feed them? Just want to ask. they sleep a lot..... If i dont wake them up and let them wake up themselves, they will only wake up and around 12am to 1 am..... =.=" ..... lazy pigs..... one almost did his business in my coffee..... and they really like to pee on me..... Sugar gliders are nocturnal animals. They'll be more active during night and sleep during day.

QUOTE(TAGreptiles @ Feb 16 2007, 02:42 AM) NEW reliable insider information: Pets Wonderland MV manager: I find nothing wrong bout the condition the gliders are kept in. The e-mail is absurd. The poster(Taggy) knows nothing about keeping Suger Gliders. the gliders are now housed at Great Eastern mall...but they've provided a small hide for them I LOL'ed when i read this. Heck, i don't even own a SG but i know what's the right's and wrong's. Anway, great job Tag.

QUOTE(hamster9 @ Mar 12 2007, 02:46 PM) yup...no problem so sar for domestic flights. Scanning machine, hrm..it was hanging inside me or my pants pocket Got once the tail jutting out people think it's some keychain However my advice is dun go at night where to SG is active and also it applies for domestic flights. International flights I dare not take the chances. Ohhh... what if the securities want to have a body check on you if the alarm sounds when you pass through the gate? Hahaha
