QUOTE(darkamazon @ Jul 3 2014, 11:32 PM) hi there. fortunately i went to the interview about a month ago. there's nothing specific questions based on my experience. 1st activity is group activity, there will be 3 assessors for each group. you will be given sticks, cardboard, sellotape and mineral water bottle. use them to build a rig (minimum height of the rig will be given, i cant remember. each of the equipment has its own relative value) 1 hour will be given to complete the task. tips here is to build a safe rig without compromising the HSE issues regardless the cost. please appoint a leader and show teamwork qualities. 2nd activity is each one of you need present the rig that you've built to the 3 assessors. i cant remember what exactly i presented coz i didnt sleep the day before, i mumbled a lot (please dont do this, just point out something related to the rig you've built like HSE issues i mentioned earlier). 3rd activity is role play. you will be given random role by the assessor to play the role of certain situation. for instance, government vs environmentalist vs tourist agency vs tourist regarding environment issues. i just use logic and current issues related for this activity. maybe you'll get other topics. in this activity they wanna see how you interact with other people (accepting/reject their opinion, provide other solutions, defend your statements and you know what's coming) and the assessors will ask questions about the issues at the end of the role play, be prepared and think wisely before you answer. and the last one is individual interview. basic interview questions, 1) introduce yourself, 2) your weakness & strengths, 3) past experiences 4) why we should hire you, 5) where did you hear about this program, 6) workplace situation questions. depend on the interviewer, they might ask random questions such as whats the current oil price, conversion unit etc it would be nice if you can relate the questions they throw at you with issues that happened in O&G industry such as tilted platform, BOP etc. thats all i can remember when is your interview? good luck btw remember, whats important is be confident, be prepared (knowledge) and sharpen your interpersonal skills. |

I am not sure if they have projects coming but they sound desperate. bro, if i'm not mistaken they have 3 project coming, 2 for short terms and 1 for long terms - this project client give to them as trial, & they can stop work anytime they want. as u said, they really desperate because now eventho they got the project, they still doing their downsizing exercise. & they didnt have enuf staff to execute the project. + they shud proven to client dat they have capabilities to execute the project but they didnt have staff to do it. during downsizing before this, they terminate mostly malaysian employee, & because of dat, all malaysian dat didnt involve before want to resign & jump to another company. |

From what I heard, due to downsizing, PRW can no longer bid for projects in Malaysia due to lack of local content (less Malaysians, more expats). Based on my last project with them, almost everyone in the weekly progress meeting are expats. Some are OK, but some are not.during downsizing before this, they terminate mostly malaysian employee, & because of dat, all malaysian dat didnt involve before want to resign & jump to another company. |

Lack of local contents becoz they release them during downsizing and retain expat. Worst part is certain dept didnt have local senior eng. so how to bid the project as requirement from petronas needed certain percentage of local eng in the project. |
