Thats what i heard too. Other than fixing 2 minor bugs, doesnt do much to help o/c.

hurmm.. in c2d, even it passed dualie-super pi 32mb it doesnt prove ur system is stable enough wub.gif vmad.gif

by increasing vCore might help your stablity.

test setup:

Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 @ 3.2ghz
ASUS P5W DH Deluxe (vfsb 1.4, vmch 1.65, vdimm 1.9, EIST&C1E disabled)
Nvidia 7900GTO
thermaltake toughpower 700w


comparison:

room temp @ 25c

idle

stock intel fan : 41c

wc : 28c

full load

stock intel fan : 80c

wc : 41c

i'm happy!

well for conroes, they are hot babies, so yeah, WC would be good. but the thing is, if it leaks and all that, then problems surface.

thats why i went for scythe infinity! same temps in an air cond room, also managed to bring ym proc up to :-
3.9 SPi stable,
3.95 bootable <-- but then crashed later sweat.gif

interesting thing is, intel is quite weird.. with amd, the temp only increase if the vcore is increase.. but look at what i found.

vcore @ auto on ASUS P5W DH DLX bios 1407

default speed (266x8) full load @ 37c

3.2ghz (400x8) full load @ 41c

3.3ghz (413x8) full load @ 47c

is conroe coretemp's temp increase according to clockspeed? or intel board is good at adjusting vcore when we set it at auto?
but cpuz shows the same, 1.28vcore under full load.. 1.32v during idle.
