yeah i read about the limitation of the mobo as well.... but i will be getting the processor 1st..... mobo i dun think i wll be goin for 975 or 965 chip...i will be waiting for RD600 or 590sli

i saw a thread in XS it says that retail E6700 is multiplier unlocked as well...is that true???

x10 multiplier is easier to calculate clock speed
now i just wanan know if its unlocked downwards on retail ones or wat .... and i will be goin for air cooling...

Bro, get the E6600 No need to splash out extra money on the x10 multiplier While the E6600 can get higher FSB, so both the Bus speed and memory can go higher...

@gengstapo, one thing that most overlooked is that E6600 has 4MB L2 cache and that could give you roughly 10-15% increment in performance. That's why I was able to get sub 18s with 2.88ghz only while others get more than 18 sec even running at 3.15ghz.

for this c2d, dual super pi 32m, loops of 3dmarks, occt also cant prove stability..

err...austin, what motherboard are you using?

vcore stock..how bout vmch? it's not ur wall..sure can hit higher i did review at xs and most of them hit the walls between 420-480.. but got 2-3 people max at 3xx :-s and 2-3 people manage to hit 500..

hi people, i am quite new to OC, but i am interested in knowing it

i am getting e6300 processor and now i am looking for a mobo which suits it.

i read the star newspaper says that the MSI P965 Neo mobo is good and priced around rm450. anyone is using this board? i heard many are usiing DS3 and asus P5W DH
btw, i read from other forum says that e6300 can easily clock to 510mhz X 7 multiplier.

i probably will just use normal PSU and without any special cooling (no money to do so =.=)

i'll be getting a 2g 667 mhz dual channel RAM

and 7300 or 7600 graphic card.

i have read some of you all saying 4-4-4-10 or something with 4 digits like this, mind sharing what are the 4 digits for?

besides that, how should i probably aim for my PSU watt? around 400W or 500W ++ if i wanna do OC with it.
