wanna ask ds3 user, how do i set the memory timing in BIOS? i cant see the option to change the setting.

the memory multiplier is same like divider in amd64?
how do we reconize the 2.0, 2.5, 4+ etc values?

66c should be ok...my typhoon vx is pushing the temp to 60-61 on hot day, or 59-60 on not so hot day...so, using xp120 with that temp should be ok...

ic. The temp you refering to is from easytune5 or coreTemp?
now i reduced the clock speed and vcore. trying to burn in @ stock voltage, see got any improvemnt o not laugh.gif

Not for Micron D9.
Other chipset such as Elpida will not even be stable at 2.5V.
Anyways, for 24/7 usage do not exceed 2.4V... unless your RAM is warrantied up to 2.5V like OCZ does  notworthy.gif

ic

I heard alot ppl talking about d9.
Whats the characteristic of d9 chipset? "FatBody" is the best among those d9?

edited : found! most of d9 i see can do 4-4-4-x @ 400-500MHz

based on the hight of 3 heatsinks you mentioned, I think should graded as this
Ultra-90 > typhoon VX > xp90c

xp90c needs high rpm fan to maintain its performance, while typhoon can use any 120mm fan with low rpm blowing it

performance ratio/size = xp90c
performance ratio/noice = typhoon VX

weird, the xp120 seems blocking the 1st 2 slots nearest to the heatsink though, mind posting another pic from different angle to show that 'miracle'?  biggrin.gif

here you go laugh.gif
there still some spaces btw the heatsink and rams

rite now i'm priming at 3.2ghz @ stock vcore for 10hrs already..
erk.. i thought i already left c2d world! biggrin.gif
*
welcome back then thumbup.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

wanna ask you guys, what's is the acual limitation of the c2d?
1. proc fsb?? (450fsb limitation??)
2. mainboard chipset limitation? (only Asus capable to jack up above 500fsb??)
3. hit max clock speed?? (dont think is this due proc with higher multiplier can oc pretty well with stock vcore tho)

I'm still curious if anyone at all has tried the PNY RAMs I saw in Viewnet.
