I just bought 3 CT from jalan pasar 2day when i passed by.Those bettas were kept in small plastic bags with extremely little water and the bags were sealed.I pity those bettas.

nope..i didnt want to take pictures of the fishes because the boss was counting the fishes.

As for all the news he tells you about, I am really intrigued that someone who doesn't come to any betta events is so up to date. He must get his news from the somewhere. Also, as in most cases, we shouldn't trust everything we hear, as facts change as it goes from person to person.

im a fan of betta but if stop owning them for a few years now. my last betta was red with long and spiky tail. sorry, dont know the actual breed. before it dies, it keep sinking to the bottom of the tank, only coming to the surface for a gasp of breath, then sinks back down again. i've tried stimulating it using a mirror and it did response to it well, but will sink again when i took away the mirror. what kind of disease is this?

another female betta of mine.... it became bloated to a round shape and finally the tummy exploded and died. i did not overfed it... got infected with virus?

last question, i plan to buy another long tail betta again, and plan to put it togheter with a group of guppies. i read somewhere that it's not recommended, but what if i outnumber the betta with, say, 20 over guppies to 1 betta. will my betta behave then?

spiky tail are the crowntail variant. the behavior u described is what the betta do when it's sick, it's not specific to the type of illness. i've never encountered exploding stomach before, maybe other sifus can help you regarding that.

sigh, i so wanna rare betta again but after my previous experience where my 2 bettas suddenly died of unknown causes, i'm discouraged ler.

^^ I reared a couple of beta back a couple of years. had a lot of them, but my favourite was the halfmoon variety. Crowntails are not bad too. One of my favourite beta could do a trick. It would jump out from the water and touch my fingers. ^^ It was cool. I'm thinking about rearing again but I don't know where to get good breeds. Any suggestions?

guess i sin a lot! Feed my beta with small longkang fish...

good breeds usually comes from hobbyist. quality is dependant on your budget. tailtype also plays a part on pricing as well. let me know your favourite colour and tailtype and i might be able to point you to the right direction.
