BUMP my question

yes, you can put females into a community tank. but make sure you got a lot of females. u put 2 female in there they might have a deathmatch. put more than 10 into a community tank. fighting will still occur for the alpha female position, but once the alpha female has been established, there will be less fighting. but if u take out the alpha female, they will start fighting again for the empty post. pls correct me if i'm wrong.

then can you put different types of females together or they got to be from the same family?
eg. female turqoise with gold turqoise.

and if you do have a community tank of 10, you'll need a large tank right?
with lots of hiding places and plants.
i'm wondering if a 1 gallon tank is large enough?

different types of females oso can. but if from same family, then the alpha position will usually be determined a long time ago. and yea, best to put in some plants.

pls don't cramp 10 females into 1 gallon tank. u'll see a lot of difference in your betta behaviour once u move them into larger quarters. they're usually more lively. i'm currently storing my betta in 1 gallon tank PER betta. lots of room to swim and don't need to change water that frequently.

how about just 1 female betta into a community tank of tetras, rasboras, cories, etc

it is baby fries shrimp...almost same as BBS but this one no need salt water to hatch it just normal tap water. It can last at your tank very long not like BBS 2 days already KO...i good try product.

yah ...because the price not cheap so i collect all the buyer first than only order.

i'm already having storage problems with my 6 small tanks.

i currently have 3 betta, 1 turquoise male sdpk, 1 blue female hmpk and 1 dunno what sex pk (it has the white dot like any other female, blows bubble like any other male, and not receptive at all when i tried to spawn it with the turquoise male. always kena pow from the male) i have 20 odd fry (3 weeks old) in a 10gallon tank. and spawning the turquoise and blue in another 5gallon tank.

planning to house the 2 females together in the 1gallon tank but have yet to find a divider for them.

3 betta is ok.
can't imagine you providing a gallon tank for each fry when they grow up though.

I currently have 1 male super delta, 1 male gold PK, 1 male red CT, 1 turqoise male BT, 1 male VT, and 4 fries (3 platinum white & 1 turqoise. I think they're about a month old). and I actually want more!!!! hahaha!

i'm actually thinking of setting up a barrack system to house all of them + fry but have yet to find funding for it. costs on tanks alone is about RM335. still need piping, rack, water pump, uv filter and lights. headache..headache...

hey guys .. wanna ask ... will the fins grow ?? Sry for this noob question .. coz the bettas i see in the shop ... got only very small fins at the bottom .. top also no fin ... so juz wondering will it be like that forever or it will grow ? If not then i dun buy tat lor .. looks like a normal fish only =/

GymBoi, sorry for the late reply. I have no problem in sleeping with the fishy inside my room. infact i think they are looking at me while i'm sleeping coz they are just beside my bed.
