I bought it when they were having year end sales last year, so I guess the discounts I got were good.

So far up to now of owning the EB (4 months already), I'm overall very satisfied with it. No problems so far.

Guys,
Just to share, ive been travelling from kl to alor setar to kuala perlis to padang besar to alor setar to penang and now otw to KL,

The car suddenly engine oil light then Check engine light

Then found out the oil leaks

Exora was bought on 3/2012, and still under warranty

Now stranded at ladang bikam, called proton, they said they will repair FOC but not the towing charge to KL

So call my insurance, they said they will tow to jalan duta from here for rm231+ lorry truck toll.

Just wanna share...

now im stranded, tomorrow working

Less than 2 years car, and the engine leaks

Engine oil all dried up when i arrived at Hentian ladang bikam...

Edited: max speed 130-140km/h
Average 110km/h due to this is not my car
Always stop at RnR or petrol station

so if this X1R is a ongoing problem, then I dont think it's recommended for anyone to purchase any brand new exora yet right...

since from the article, they clearly mentioned to stop the production. and no workaround it seems?

gosh...and i nearly want to book it in april. now really having a second thought.

this year will be the 5th year in market...do you think proton will add the features to exora like those esp in upcoming FL?

X1R is engine additive which SC push us to buy & use during service interval

No use X1R = No damage to turbo
Use X1R = Damage the turbo

anyway, the letter didn't say anything about stop exora production

i see. i thought proton has this known issue and still producing it. so just make sure i stay away from X1R then.

i have heard "rumors" that because of this turbo, proton generally easily overheat. especially with one recent case that the exora on fire and kids trap in it. so worry, but i guess that's just coincidence.

btw guys, when you purchase the exora CFE, what kind of rebates the sales person give you?

I'm quite keen on Exora CFE Standard version. I ask the sales rep to include for me a reverse camera, fog lamp at the front, and the door visor. she told me she will rebates for me RM800, but those accessories going to cost me RM1k. so in return, I just need to top up RM200.

The promo for Exora so little? Last year my family bought MyVi and I got close to RM1.5k rebates.

i hope if facelift, its not like innova given new grill and butt only.
