Regarding the X1R additive, is it forced upon to the customers to buy when doing service intervals?
Looks like it's compulsory to be sold to us. Can we request the SC to NOT sell it to us? |

There are two types of service center, the Proton-Edar (PESC) and authorized SC.

In V2 thread, I asked about changing to VT3+, and got the same answer from Proton folks... that is near impossible.

QUOTE(YouDontKnowMyName @ Apr 1 2014, 01:09 PM) Regarding the X1R additive, is it forced upon to the customers to buy when doing service intervals? Its optional. Me myself never use any additive since 1st services till now and my sc never ask me to add in. Always go for Fully Syn because it resist heat better compare to semi syn(mineral+syn) and mineral oil.. Example I'm using Petronas Syn 3000 which have flash point at 200 celcius. Peace of mind, hope so. Looks like it's compulsory to be sold to us. Can we request the SC to NOT sell it to us? |

QUOTE(alexei @ Apr 1 2014, 02:21 PM) Here's my experience with the car, mine is 2013 Brown. Great info. Added to first page Daily use tips: - Turn on car, let all indicator light up, before start engine. - Turbo can get very hot after use, and there is an apparent 'boiling' sound when you open the bonnet. For this reason, do not save on engine oil, use the best you can afford. - DO NOT ADD ENGINE OIL ADDITIVES OF ANY KIND. No Tufoil, no X1R, no Teflon. Anything you add will thicken (increase oil viscosity) and hasten oil sludge and cause oil line blockage. FC tips: - This CVT is programmed to fully engage at 1.5k RPM. - If stuck in jam, between 1.5k to 1.8k RPM is the most fuel economy at slow speed drive. - If you want to speed up, step harder to reach 60kmh fast, and ease on the accelerator and cruise to maximize FC. Do not accelerate too slowly, or you will notice 15~16 liter/100km FC the whole way. - To my knowledge, the poor FC is due to low compression ratio with no turbo boost. - My current FC is 30% city, 35% uphill, 35% downhill at 11.4l/100km, or 8.77 kmpl, which is 20.6mpg. Quite bad, near terrible, if compared to similar engines like Kuga EcoBoost (1.6l with Borg KP39 turbo). This post has been edited by YouDontKnowMyName: Apr 1 2014, 05:18 PM |

QUOTE(alexei @ Apr 1 2014, 05:16 PM) I think is fuel pump seal leaking. The fuel pump is situated underneath carpet, on the 2nd row IINM. You can confirm the fuel tank position from underneath the car. Get the service center to check and replace. thanks for the feedback. this cabin fuel is a common problem for EB, someone posted they put some seal on the fuel cap. not sure if it works |

QUOTE(sKypRiNcE734 @ Apr 1 2014, 09:55 PM) Maybe they will do the same thing they did with the prevé,the upgraded 1.6 liter Campro CFE hp increase from 138 to 153 with 235 torque.Updated ECU programme now maximizes the engine power to the max.. I have a feeling that EB will release new version in late 2015. Probably with ESC and more airbags or something |
